  1. HA! That is f*ckin excellent!! Too bad that little 'ol band from Texas went all Hollywood on us. I sure liked'm better in 1972, back when they were opening for Uriah Heap.
  2. I'm gonna love this thread. Gotta dig up and post some Jondix and Jacobsen, but Hooper is still the KING.
  3. Nice job of parenting, Kev. Leading by example is the best way.
  4. AND you can have all the visible tattoos you want (hands, neck and face excluded).
  5. If you deny kids anything, there will always be a sizable percentage of them that will go to the ends of the earth to seek it out, especially if it's "taboo". By making all this fuss, it'll just end up driving a few of those kids in that direction - and that would certainly include doin' it the hard way (scratchers, needle-and-india-ink, etc).
  6. I love Jondix's work and would gladly stand in a long line to get some of his work done on me, but I'm not feeling it for behind the plane. What about some soft (light grey) clouds or smoke (from the exaust)? Some of those could drop a bit below the wings, too. Maybe light or sun bars underneath?
  7. I love bourbon. Marker's Mark and Knob Creek are readily available and are at the low end of high end, if that makes sense. I large bottle will usually cost you between $36-40.
  8. And that's the bottom line. There is limited new school or american traditional that I would actually get tattooed on me - but I still love looking at it, and am glad that other people get it done and show it off. Diversity.
  9. on CNN this morning: Tattoo artist banned from career day - CNN.com Video
  10. not so much "crazy", but certainly tattoo related and cool . . . New and Hot Video: Dropkick Murphys Ante Up in 'Rose Tattoo' - Premiere | Rolling Stone
  11. I sure like both, but pet hair would be my main concern - and (especially young) cats are climbing all over everything ALL the time . . .
  12. This does work. When I got my 1st well-known artist to bite, it was because I gave him 3-4 options on subject matter, size and placement - and he saw that as a welcome opportunity to do something that was different. I was one of only 2 or 3 collectors that he worked on all summer, the balance of his creative efforts being performed on other artist's skin.

    Hurricane Sandy

We had the same problem for the Katrina old folks, with respect to huge upheaval. I'm sure at that stage of your life the whole thing can easily be viewed as an end of the world event. Disorientation and depression can easily take over without something to ground them again . . .
  14. Under that particular circumstance, that is a perfectly normal reaction. :)
  15. @Graeme = in a field of truly bright stars, this one shines brightest for me.
  16. Halloween weekend in the French Quarter
