    infected?

Yeah, I'd have to agree. Doesn't look infected. Hope it is smoother looking healed.
  2. Sorry - but I've never heard of anything like this before.
  3. no picture, but sounds reasonably normal.
  4. Exactly. Some artists won't touch someone else's work, some will. You'd need to find someone who is very experienced AND very capable in black/grey photo realism.
  5. Old school rules (certainly not a mandate in these days and times) is that any image should face toward the center and/or front of your body.
  6. Agreed. He's a good artist but could have done better getting the ink down in there.
  7. I don't know how old you are - but in any case as you get older you will notice all kinds of new shit and other blemishes developing on your body. Most won't be tattoo related. 😉
  8. Good artist is paramount. Once your tattoo is done the shop will only be a memory.
  9. Do you think Jesus would discriminate against you for your art collection?
  10. That unicorn is ok, but there is little that is smooth about that Pikachu. A lot also depends on how small it's going to be. If there is a style for a basic line drawing I'm not aware.
  11. Also being someone with neck issues (can't sleep on my stomach) and a full back piece - I sleep on my side. The right sized pillow keeps my neck aligned with my spine nicely.
  12. That's weird. Have you shown it to the artist?
  13. Sorry, I've got no experience with this particular issue.
  14. Yep. You're going to need a high quality tattooist. Abstract pieces tend to become even more abstract 10-20 years down the road . . .
  15. Sounds like you picked the wrong tattooist. Hard to say how to proceed as you'll either end up with incomplete or rushed work. Pictures?

    Hey everyone!

Welcome, and thanks! Who's the artist?
  17. Looks like it's just pealing. Probably a chunk of scab fell off. As long as it's not hot, red and puss-y your fine and will just have to wait 4-6 weeks to see how it did.
  18. Talk to more than one and get a feel for who might be the most capable. Don't rush into it. Post up here the links of potential artists.
  19. Not BAD, but certainly not great. Large areas where it looks washed out and/or muddy, especially in the shading parts. I'm neither a LA or realism expert, but LA is worldwide one of the most concentrated areas for tattooists, so you're going to have plenty to choose from. Here's just a couple after just a quick search: https://www.instagram.com/lordpablo/ https://www.instagram.com/prolific.dtla/ https://www.instagram.com/jjrtattoos/
  20. Welcome, and let's see some pictures! "final one" . . . that's funny.
  21. My opinion is that you've got to find a highly competent realism tattooist and discuss your options with getting them re-worked. Where do you live?
