Six hours on my arm, and about four on my ribs. Not the in same day, but those are my two longest sessions. The guy on the cover of the Gods and Warriors, Chris Trevino, book would come down to Austin and sit for eight hours a day five or six days in a row. He would lay there getting his ribs done and talk to you like nothing was happening, and he is probably twenty years older than me. I have never seen anyone sit like that before or since.

I am having trouble getting this up. Sorry. If you go to the same flickr account it is there, but for some reason it is not in the Dan Higgs set. It is on the third page of photos. There are two different ones. It looks like they are from an interview or video of some kind.

Religious and Spiritual Tattoos

I have Jesus on my arm. I like the image, but I can't say that it means much more to me than that. What I find interesting is most Christians think the tattoo is blasphemy, and then non-Christians assume that I am really religious. Neither one of these being the case. Either way the tattoo seems to make people uncomfortable. -

Actually I know both of the girls. They are twins. The one with the tattoos lives in Manhattan with her husband, but she does not have an ex-husband. My wife has been friends with them since they were all kids. They are both really nice.

About six or seven years ago I went to Chris Garver and asked him to do a tiger 3/4 sleeve on my arm. The tiger was from his flash on tattoo elite international. He asked me to come back the next day to start. It was my second tattoo, and during the three months it took to do the tattoo he became a television star. Since that tattoo I have sat through about 60 hours of tattooing. In that 60 hours I have never had someone work with such ease. Tigers, girls, snakes, black and grey, color, Japanese, Americana. He is one of the best, and an incredibly nice guy along with it.

No Bad Brains and Conway Twitty did not play together. The two shows were about eight years apart. The Goats opened for Bad Brains, and they were fucking great.
