  1. Congratulations on the six months. I checked my start date, and I have been around for almost five of them, and I still check the forums everyday. I have little in the way of suggestions, but I will answer the two questions that Lochlan asked. Some of my favorite things about the website are: I like the interviews and the choice of tattooers interviewed, I like that I am familiar with and respect a good number of the tattooers that post on this site, and I am learning about other artists that I was not familiar with, and my favorite thing is the level of respect and courtesy that the people posting in the forums treat each other with. That is not an easy thing to come by in the faceless world of the internet. The only thing that I would like to see more of is photos, photos, photos. Thanks, guys and gals.
  2. I have been wearing one of those denim shirts for years. I suppose that is fucked as well.
  3. State of Grace have the t-shirts ready. Here is the link. Stand With Japan
  4. Here are a couple of Brooks daggers I found online. I am in agreement with Bart on all points.
  5. Jason Brooks also does some killer daggers, and is back in Austin.
  6. I will be doing my small part by accepting some Waverly colors into my skin in a couple of weeks. Also I read that State of Grace will be doing some T-shirts to raise money for the relief effort in Japan.
  7. I have been waiting for this interview to be posted. Bryan is one of if not my favorite tattooer. I look forward to the rest.
  8. I got tattooed by Bailey a couple of years ago. I was visiting New York, and only had time for a small tattoo. He did a bird on my hand. It is solid, simple and I like it a lot. He was punctual, prepared, and nice. The experience was a good one.
  9. Thanks for taking the time to sort out and upload all this stuff. Those videos were a great way to start my morning.
  10. Hey Hawk I know what you mean. I shouldn't post at work. I shorten things too much. What I was really commenting on was showmanship is fine by me when it is backed up with something (as in Tatts case). I think that it is hard for us to imagine, in this internet age, what it took to promote yourself. Which like it or not is a necessity of owning your own business. I think that was probably a big part of these guys becoming such characters. It was a matter of survival.
  11. I was reading some of the Phil Sparrow book, and he said the same thing about Tatts Thomas. I don't mind a good showman as long as they can back up the talk with their work.
  12. Deadwood. Deadwood. Deadwood.
  13. I think that Hambone's photos are of Jason Kunz tattoos, not Brooks. Kunz has a shop in Burlington, WA. He does some big crazy stuff. Also I think that he gets tattooed by Jason Brooks.
  14. This thing is killer. Thanks for the link.
  15. I am going to stick with the all seeing eye in the pyramid, the flaming torch, and palm tattoos of any kind. I know that some of you will say that those are so 2010, but I think that they will keep up their dominance through the first half of this year. Quotes from pretentious novels will dominate the fall and winter months.
  16. Hey man, I grew up in Independence, VA about an hour south of you. Welcome to the forum.
  17. This is from Jeff Rassier's blog. I rarely use the word brilliant, but I think that it is appropriate here.
  18. I checked my flickr and yes you are where I found them. Sorry for the theft.
  19. Follow the link then go to Harrison then to moving pictures then to blowguns etc...
  20. There is a great video on Scott Harrison's website. It has Dan Higgs in it so I am putting it in this thread. This thing is great on many levels and it really has little to do with tattooing, it just has tattooers telling great stories. headband brothers
