  1. http://www.facebook.com/people/Matt-Arriola/100000490300185#!/photo.php?fbid=215221748504167&set=a.163120863714256.40718.100000490300185&type=1&theater Here is a link to my newly started backpiece. This photo is better than any that I have taken, and it is easier to upload. I used to be very hesitant to post any of my tattoos anywhere online, but my ideas on that have changed. This forum is about sharing tattoo related information, and since I do not make tattoos the only thing that I have to share is the tattoos that I have. Also I usually hate in progress photos, but I will try and update things as they go forward. I am almost four hours in at this point. Hopefully I will have this finished by the end of the summer. And I am sorry that everyone has to see my ass.

    i hate my job.

It wasn't necessarily my job, but I had started hating myself and the way that I was living my life. I bought a one-way ticket to Thailand with very little money, and no intention of ever coming back. One month into the trip I met a beautiful girl from Vancouver, BC. Two months later I was back in the States. Five years later I am married to that girl, and we have two great kids, and national health care. I always thought that I would end up living in another country, but I never thought it would be Canada. We still have very little money, but we are very happy. I think that the best things in life find you, not the other way around. Sometimes the less pressure you put on yourself, and the less you try to figure things out, the more they figure themselves out. And if nothing else is working just go and get some really pretentious quote from a novel or poem tattooed on your ribs. That seems to be working for everyone else. I hope that you have some nice changes soon, and keep us posted.
  3. Mario, I think that a UFO driven by Jesus would make a pretty good tattoo.
  4. I have never met the guy, but the one thing that I have noticed in all of the interviews that have been posted is that he is seems to be very funny. Much more comedian than guru. I also see that in his tattoos. This one I found awhile back and I think is a good example of his humor.
  5. Facebook This thing is fucking great. I think that it is as perfect of a tattoo as I have ever seen. I know that Nick is on this forum so I hope that he doesn't mind me posting this link here.

    my panther

    Super fucking cool.
  7. Marcus Kuhn's - The Gypsy Gentleman Here is a new thing that Marcus Kuhn has put together. It should be pretty cool.
  8. Finally, having a neck tattoo got someone a job instead of costing them one.
  9. Depends on what you are looking for. Immaculate is fucking awesome, and well worth what it takes to get there. I get tattooed quite a bit by Matt Arriola, and he spends a lot of time at Inkvision in Boise, Idaho. Darcy Nutt is in Boise I think. Also the Salt Lake City convention is pretty good. It just passed, but if you are willing to wait until next year I am sure that there will be plenty of great tattooers there.
  10. Aaron Coleman is pretty well-known, but I never really hear people talking about him. I think that he is another great tattooer that keeps his internet presence to a minimum. Immaculate Tattoo - Home
  11. If I were you I would wait until the San Jose Convention. It is a good way to skip waiting lists, and you can throw in some tattooers from other parts of the country and world. I would not recommend this for bigger pieces, but it is a good for smaller to mid-size stuff. You should probably contact the artists you want in advance. Some will be doing appointments and some will be doing walk-ups.
  12. BLACKHEART TATTOO 50% off for life. Nothing on the neck or above.

    tigers

That didn't take very long. They look great.
  14. I just found this. Tattoo Masters Invitational The line-up is pretty incredible.
  15. This is the part of the thread were someone says "It is good to see her sucking the life out of something other than tattooing."
  16. Shit I grabbed the wrong quote. I was going for the one below it.
  17. I have heard the same thing about Steve, but I can't find hardly any examples of his tattoos. Every time I look for him I only find the dragon-haired girl that Bob tattooed on him.
  18. Pinnacle Tattoo - Chris Lain I like Chris Lain's work a lot, and I never hear anyone talking about him.
  19. Happy Birthday, Lochlan. I hope that you are enjoying it.
  20. I think that this type of philosophy can be applied to a lot of different things that we purchase. I am not a tattooer or talking about tattoo related products, but everything from food to clothing. It is something that I have started thinking more and more about since having kids.
  21. This thread could be interpreted a few different ways.
  22. Hopefully. THAT is going to be covered by panther and roses in a couple of years.
