Should my new tattoo be this brown/pink colour after 2 weeks when it is supposed to be black. the scab fell off on its own and i've treated it just as my tattoo artist said

Hi there this is my first tattoo and i am a little worried something is wrong with it. i had it done 2 weeks ago now, i haven't picked or scratched it but it looks faded almost like a pink/brown colour when it is meant to be black. is this normal?
