Would shading rather than stars between traditional tattoos look odd?

is it possible to fill in the rest of my arm with more traditional tats, then get it filled in with shading? Havent seen too much of this, thanks!

Thankyou so much, thats good too know as i've previously been worried about tieing the two together. I havent put too much thought into it yet, would be more focused on something that mixes the two well. Any ideas? :)

Hi, I have two tattoos on my arm and have decided I want to cover my whole arm now. The swallow and rose on inner forearm, and cherub on inside bicep. I know its a little bit mixed style but I was wondering if i could get that turned into a sleeve? If not, best option for the future. Thanks
