  1. Though I wonder about dark blue. When I worked in print shops, the Reflex Blue, which is a dark blue, would be pretty resistant to what we cleaned our hands with. Of course, they're different things, but that's my experience with dark blue ON my skin and not IN my skin. Sent from my SM-S903VL using Tapatalk
  2. @Gingerninja If it is, it is. If all I do is dispell some mystery, I'm good too. @Dan That would be cool, but I won't hold my breath. Sent from my SM-S903VL using Tapatalk
  3. @devious6 Condolences. I lost my mom to a very unexpected cancer about five years ago. The administrivia of a person's death is the nastiest part. May the paperwork subside so you can process the grief. Sent from my SM-S903VL using Tapatalk
  4. Zero pressure on any aspect of it for her. I really just want her to see what it is I enjoyed so much. I want her to see that I have made a discovery about myself that I truly enjoy and that it isn't what she thinks.

    Hey

Welcome. I just got my own first tattoo. It is a bit larger than what I thought it would be, but now that I have it it seems like the right size. (And trust your artist's judgment. I did, and I'm very happy I did.) I'd second what Gingerninja says: go bold with a design like this.
  6. My wife has agreed to come along with for my next tattoo. I want her there to see what it is that I enjoy and to keep me company. Is it wrong that I also want her to see that there is nothing to be afraid of?
  7. Finding this thread just emphasizes how blank my skin is. Sent from my SM-S903VL using Tapatalk
  8. Welcome to the site. (I'm a new person here too.) Sent from my SM-S903VL using Tapatalk
  9. I'm more than likely going to go in for a second in late March.
  10. I'm getting another, it's just a matter of an idea. Thanks. It seemed like an idea that really fits the medium. And an internet troll doesn't worry me.
  11. Thanks. I like it a lot. If it were a competition, I suppose I am better on the timeline. Ever increasing numbers of tattoos from here? I'm going to get another, but I'm not sure when. Thanks.
  12. I just joined the ranks of the tattooed last week at age 42. I had a design in mind for about 20 years, but I never acted on the idea until now. I don't know why I waited so long. The experience of getting it was great--I want another one as soon as I can manage it. My wife isn't thrilled by it (this tattoo or any potential future tattoos), but I think she's coming around to it all. I asked the artist for a design I could have gotten 20 years ago, since that's when I had the idea. I think he did just that. The DNA sequence is from the FOXP2 gene, which is part of what we need to talk. (I'm a language teacher.) I'm so thrilled that I have gotten my first tattoo. I'm looking forward to more.
