I think @David Flores has the right idea. Just to name one artist in particular, if you really are serious about getting tattooed by Chad Koeplinger, one of the most surefire ways is to go ahead and send your deposit via PayPal and then shoot an email. It just lets tattooers know how serious you are about getting something from them.

The only way to learn how to draw a tattoo rose is to look at those that have already done it. I feel like tattooers almost instinctively look at Mike Malone or Scott Sylvia for reference. But, once you have drawn enough of them, you're able to understand the anatomy enough to design one without looking at reference. It's just how tattoo art is done. I don't understand the copyright issue behind tattoos. Because it definitely brings into the question of "ownership," and that could go further down the rabbit hole.

I agree with @Our Endless Days, that was a lame ambush. But I have enjoyed the season thus far. A much better start compared to how Season 2 dragged out some of those first 4-5 episodes.

I dont particularly care for a completely cohesive looking body suit. A lot of it, for myself, and I think for others I know here, is that we love the art so much that we cannot commit to just one person. For myself as a non-tattooer, it gives me the opportunity to get some amazing work, and often, form friendships. But also, it's like with "big stuff," the torso, back, I intend on being loyal to a single artist so that it can look as complete as possible.

Yeah, I know, when I am getting tattooed by Chris, I love seeing what everyone else is working on.

@BrianH, yeah man, he's been devoting his time to finishing old clients and getting started on new ones. it's a pretty nice treat. i'd recommend anyone who wants to get tattooed by chris to jump on it now while he has availability. i go again in january myself!

That is one of my favorite decks. The book is about 40 some odd pages. Totally awesome. Not sure about the price that is on Amazon tho. Originally it was only like 15.
