  1. I'm a total O'Donnell fanboy. Dude is humble and brilliant.
  2. I was waiting to post this until it was healed up and haired over. Chris O'Donnell. Completed at Saved Tattoo, Kings Avenue, and Chris' private studio.
  3. Cool man. They look great! Be careful with Sharpie however, you can't clear coat it.
  4. I will always appreciate a Donaldson tattoo. SCI-FI GEEKS 4 LYFE.
  5. Yeah. He's also really tough to get ahold of. But, what he does is brilliant. He's the Mike Roper of the Midwest.
  6. Also, Mike Dorsey. A tattooers' tattooer. Mike Dorsey
  7. I do think you're over thinking it a little. But I understand. Focus on getting a good design from a good tattooer first. They will be able to answer any and all of your questions. Tattoos do age. They change, hell, even after the first month. Once you get past the fact that no tattoo is perfect, you can begin your journey to getting lots of rad stuff. The fingers waves in that design need a little bit more oomph.
  8. @laurafcei who done it?
  9. @Mike Clayton, you need to head up and see George Archer in Petersburg, VA. George Archer Tattoo
  10. I do believe those are called Borneo Roses. And yeah, those were definitely already there on the OG Shige.
  11. Anderson Luna, Saved Tattoo. Check it out.
  12. Dammit, I'm still trying to figure out why I awoke with a black eye and a broken pinky the day after I joined up.
  13. Welcome @laurafcei I'm a fellow Virginian. Tell us all the goods about your tattoos.
  14. @else, the bars will automatically make me drop my pants.
  15. @else, I think you're on the right track. I think "collector" has at times been deemed holier than thou. To get good tattoos from lots of different people, and therefore think we are better than the people who just walk in off the street or are content with their local artist. Semantically, that is a collector. Obviously, that's all a farce and untrue if we delve into the motivation behind it. While, sure, I believe those people exist who get up on their tat-soap-box, I think the majority (like y'all rad kids here on LST) just like getting good tattoos and enjoy meeting new people. I am not comfortable with the title either. Even though, it's true, I collect on a certain level. I ain't better than nobody else.
  16. @DennisSmyth, Dustin Golden and Zack Stuka at Deluxe are rad and can probably hook something up.
  17. I would look through the portfolios on their sites or better yet, go visit the shops! I guarantee they wouldn't mind talking to potential client, and that way you can flip through artists portfolios. I believe quite a few of them could handle your request.
  18. @jmcdonald18 ok ok. Never really heard much about those shops. Like most of the folks on this board, we are partial to Jinx Proof and Tattoo Paradise. You can't go wrong with Karl Hedgepath, Vinse One, Dave Waugh, Shawn Brown, Tony Morrell, or Nikki Balls in my opinion. Those shops have a shit ton of talent that I am failing to list, however. In Arlington, there was Keepsake Tattoo, but they recently closed their doors.
