I would love to talk about Pimp C, Bun B, and even Short Dog, the real Short Dog, in person. I haven't booked in yet. The last time I talked to Scott, he said he was booking out about two months, so I will try to get in with him. But let's face it, I'd be happy getting tattooed by anyone in the shop. Hopefully I'll know more soon. I'm still booking rooms, etc. Do you guys have any advice on where I should look for hotels? There are a gazillion options online, and I'd like to find something near good things, but still reasonably affordable.

Hey guys. Well, it's about time. I'm coming out to San Francisco this summer. I just booked my flight. Flying out on Monday, June 30th and leaving the 5th of July. So far, I'm planning on going to Blackheart, FTW in Oakland, and hopefully others. I'll be traveling with my friends and acquaintances. My pal Chris, Dustin Golden (Deluxe Tattoo), and Bunny (Rising Tide Tattoo). I know they already have appointments lined up at Blackheart. Needless to say it's a motley crew. But, that said, a lot of you fine folks live out there, and I sure would like to meet those of you that are so inclined. We can discuss all that radness here I suppose.

My parents 15 year old fellow is the same. They just had him checked out and he has a hyperthyroid. So he gets all the treats all the time now.

Tomorrow night I'm seeing Rocket From The Crypt in DC. Their logo was the first tattoo I received when I was a young silly punk rock kid. Now I'm just an old silly punk rock kid.

@irezumi This case has been on my mind for the last few days. Especially that asshole's shit-eating face and how badly I'd love mangle it. But I'm not a violent person by nature. I just hate it when it's so glaringly obvious.

I guess another suggestion, and please don't take this the wrong way, is to not be as precious about it. Find the right tattoo artist. Someone who's work you've seen that makes you go "whoa," especially if it is in the style you're looking for, and have some faith. Give them the necessary components and allow for that person to develop something you both can be proud of.

I had to send to my office. We're in the "creative" field so it was safe to do so. Marketing genius.

Take a look at the tattoos of Leo Zulueta and Cliff Raven. They should give you inspiration.

Firstly, fuck Yelp. Secondly, the tattoo industry has changed immensely. We discuss this often here on this site. We discuss it at the shop. The number one priority for the tattooer is to put on a quality tattoo for his/her client. We all have various expectations. Some people want a more comfortable environment, some people want that old school feel, and varying teeters between the two. I think that responsibility does lie to the client (no, goodness no, I am not referring to any circumstance of harassment). The majority of tattooers want to have a good interaction with their clients, that said, there are different types of tattoo shops, and not all of them are going to indulge or cater to clients in the same manner.
