This is perfect. Ask them if they can send you an self-addressed stamped envelope. You feel more secure about the the $500 that way.

This thread hits home. My ex-girlfriend (as of 12 hours ago) thought I qualified as an alcoholic b/c I enjoyed having 2-3 beers every evening. God forbid I do something to numb this banal existence (I kid). Thank god for tattoos!

Look at Smith Street though, the whole bathroom, sans a Mike Wilson original, is all rad pin-up flash. That is totally ok.

I am a big fan of the female physique, but the last thing I want to think about when getting tattooed is getting laid. I get tattoos so I can get laid (I'm kidding, kinda...ok, maybe I'm not).

The stupid hardcore bands. The stupid drugs. The stupid nights getting shit-faced on the worst malt-liquor. And repeating it every night over a summer when you had a shit job and you weren't worried about anything else. But, I suppose, it really wasn't stupid at all when you were having fun.

I hate to speculate, but it also becomes a bit of a red herring. If you're serious about going through the trouble to get tattooed by him, then etc etc. If not, see this, that is enough of a deterence. You never know. Either way, it's FUCKING Chris Conn!

@irezumi, what shop do you work at, if you don't mind me asking? It's been a long time since I've been tattooed in Savannah, but the last shop I spent anytime in was Stranded.

I should also mention, Marty was an apprentice for a short time. He put some of the shittiest tattoos on himself, which, if you knew him, was just his style. He also had some of the oldest Brian Bruno tattoos I had ever seen on his legs. Sigh.

I lost a friend over the weekend. Marty was brilliant and he was also a mess. He told stories that were almost never true, but he also had a kind and empathetic heart. When he listened to you, you knew he was listening. Not sure why I am posting it here...some sort of memento mori, or epitaph? Not sure, I just wanted to let the world know that I loved my friend.
