  1. I feel like I'm on Instagram, liking everything. But shit is good.
  2. Honestly, it lacks definition, but I understand coverups. You don't always get the pick of the litter. That said, white will not "save" this tattoo. White is best used as an accent, something that poor tattooers have yet to discover. This is because of the way it reacts over time. My suggestions right now is to see if some of the elements can be tightened up and if some brighter colors can be implemented in the background to create a little more contrast.
  3. I think @Graeme is correct. It does not matter. Everyone is always going to have their own opinion on pricing. And what we pay is our own business between our respective tattooers. And @Dan S, I know when I was a bit greener, I probably was an annoying snot nosed kid coming in to get tattooed, pissing them off. I've since had some script covered because it was lame. Trust me, this was the type where I came in with it printed out from Microsoft Word. I am embarrassed thinking about that now.
  4. The Danny Reed sheets' have been incredible, I can't wait to see the rest!
  5. Virginia: Andrew Conner Matt Brotka Josh Brown George Archer Matt Bivetto Tim Forbus Jason Boyer Mike Rennie Brian Bruno Dave Boysno Scott Sterling David Voegeli Marina Inoue Daryl Rodriguez Josh Stephens Max Kuhn
  6. Here is my snake/panther combo on my right forearm. I was taking these pics at my office desk. 4 years old now. Wow. Andrew Conner. Harrisonburg, VA.
  7. @Lochlan, well, the good thing about all of this is at least we know the politics is a no go around here. Sorry to bring up a can of worms.
  8. I just saw that Mike Wilson is going to be at the Richmond convention. Anyone getting on that rad train?
  9. I couldn't agree more. Albeit, I was not able to phrase that feeling as eloquently as you.
  10. Haha, you're probably right. I was more interested in the breakdown of the debates and the conversations that stem from human perception of win/loss. I too have removed a few tattooers from FB. I guess this is my overarching feeling then. I am not trying to pull in any Rodney King (RIP) "Why can't we all get along?" fustian. It seems we all wince at the idea of discussing because of the idea of community, and the disrupt it causes. People do tend to blow things out of proportion and reject the actual conversation. I like disagreeing. I like knowing how others feel, because it reminds me that I am my own person, and it's totally A-OK to not have the same views as anyone else. Fuck it, I need to get tattooed.
  11. I'm a news junkie. I fully admit it. I had high expectations for this debate. I expected some "zingers." Didn't happen. I expected common sense to outweigh mere numbers thrown in the air. Didn't happen. I don't think there was a clear winner in rhetoric in these debates. Romney supporters will see his superfluous flip and flop as support for the American people. Obama supporters will find his poise and "statistics" (and the fact that he isn't Romney) as the upper-hand. Who do you think came out on top, and why? 12. @Mr. Smith, I'm with you. Two hours is as far as I go. It's easier on my psyche and pocketbook. - - - Updated - - - Ha, I totally just realized we both are Twin Peaks nerds.
  13. You can totally see how O'Donnell has infuenced some of this work. I love it. Seth is on my list for whenever I finish my leg. - - - Updated - - - SHAVE EM!
  14. @irezumi for the best advice given. Ever. A website is in no way an excuse for consultation.
  15. Aw hell, just locked in Mr. Mario Desa for the Richmond Convention. Now I just gotta figure out what to get.
  16. It's a pretty prevalent trend in the industry these days. Inspiration and direct-copy (albeit usually poorly) are definitely not the same.
  17. @Wedge, definitely more known for Japanese imagery, but he definitely stylizes things in a interesting manner. Definitely in the ballpark of Shige or Filip Leu.
  18. Sorry for the shitty Instagram pic, but some shading/color from Chris O'Donnell/Saved Tattoo.
