  1. Well I did too, but I'm a diverse connoisseur of todays youth culture. Like tattoos, I'm trying not to show my age. I still don't understand Kesha, however.
  2. Yeah, Black Moon will go down as one of my all time faves. What a classic record. I'm pretty acquainted with more of the modern "backpacker" hip-hop (and I'm not using that term derogatorily. Big fan of Buckshot and Boot Camp. I'm trying to see what is going on more in modern/commercial hip-hop that doesn't suck. Which isn't a lot of it.
  3. I'm always trying to keep my finger on the pulse of what is happening but I am either stuck in 1993-97 with what I listen to, or am late to the game. So, what are you listening to? What's keeping your head bobbing? Currently: Killer Mike - R.A.P. Music Big Boi - Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors and two oldie but goodies: Edan - Beauty and the Beat Obie Trice - Cheers
  4. @phickey dammit all to hell. that's on you!!!!!!! that's winning at life material.
  5. At first I read that as "Hi from Mike Vallely." Welcome!
  6. Yeah man, that's my leg. Uh, it was my idea, but let him run with it. You know, I knew I wanted Fenris lashed to a rock with a scroll in it's mouth riddled with arrows, but I knew he would push the boundaries on it. He's just that dang good.
  7. Not a fan of Neglect I see. Welcome! Thats dagger and rose are raddddd.
  8. You know, I'm not sure. I'm gonna give him a ring soon. I should come up a day early and pop in and say hello to you and the mrs!
  9. Third sitting with Chris O'Donnell in 30 days. But who's counting? Right?
  10. Please tell me he only used a liner. Looks great! - - - Updated - - - It definitely lit a fire in her.
  11. Don't sleep on em! $50 is so cheap for those books.
  12. saw this on the gram. and of course, as always, it's someone who posts on here. perfect!
  13. You can't go wrong with a Sacred Heart, it's just classic. I'm particularly fond of the one on this H20 album cover, done by @Scott Sylvia himself, 15 years ago? Shit, we are getting old.
  14. yep! - - - Updated - - - yes, it does. a damn good list at that.
  15. I can't find a pic of the Mike Wilson 2Pac panther online. That might be the best thing ever.
  16. Hell Dan, your CV is just as impressive.
  17. I believe it will have something to do with all the cow flatulence causing global warming.
  18. @gougetheeyes, haha. I always thought he looked a little more like Mike Patton, what do you think @dcostello?
  19. @JDM70, I live just up the road in Harrisonburg. My pal Andrew Conner is a damn fine tattooer/artist up here. He is well versed in reproduction and black/grey tattooing, but his true specialty is traditional Japanese and American style tattoos. Nate Heim, who works up here, loves realism and portraits. You can't go wrong with them. True gems of the Shenandoah Valley. Scroll through the artists albums and pics for them here on the Alley Cat Tattoo Facebook page. Who else? Hmm. In Richmond I'm very partial to the folks at Salvation Tattoo and Absolute Art, but color realism/reproduction really isn't their thing, even though I am sure they can tackle it. I imagine you're seeking a pretty particular style? Or is it more general. Check out their work for sure. Down in Roanoke there is Asylum Tattoos and Skin Thrills. Check out their portfolios and see if there is anyone you like. I only personally know Jason Setchel at Asylum, and he's a real good fella, but does more neo-traditional/new-skool work. And finally, welcome! Thanks for the shout out @gougetheeyes !
