  1. Are there photos of it in Tattooing The Invisible Man? I don't have it, but I know I need to!
  2. I think you need to get off the internet and stop looking at so much. Take two to three examples of things you like and let go. You're asking someone to design something for you. So obviously they are doing to need a little say so in the process.
  3. @irezumi, hahaha, yeah, who's zack spurlock...definitely a hack.
  4. Welcome, and actually, we prefer it here if your intentions are for help that you do so in your intro thread. My advice is to let it heal completely (usually two weeks) and then go speak to your tattooer. Tattoos always lighten up in comparison to first application, but any questions you might have your tattooer should be able to answer. You mentioned you wanted a fat smiling "Buddha." You're actually wanting Hotei, a folklore deity. I believe he is considered to be an "enlightened" character, but he isn't to be confused with Guatama Buddha. Finally, good luck!
  5. Still one of my favorite threads to go back and reread. Some classic pearls of wisdom like "all the industry men can go suck a fuck."
  6. @jayessebee, myself, and my friend Chris are going be hanging with him in DC. I'm not getting anything, but I'll live vicariously through them.
  7. I'm happiest with whatever gets the job done more efficiently.
  8. My first exposure to Ed Hardy was later than most, but I'm a little younger than the tattooers I look up to, and they are one or two generations behind Ed. I remember buying the Tattoo City portfolio with Bruno, Snodgrass, and Clifton Carter. Those two ape/skull/morph tattoos that Ed showcased in the beginning blew my mind, which was further blown when I was told that those were done without a stencil or drawing. So raw and exciting, and simply brilliant.
  9. ^^ I am afraid this thread was encroaching on the douchey. I'm kinda guilty as well. Yeah, I think tons of lettering on ribs looks silly, and it's a pain in the ass to tattoo, but oh well, charge accordingly.
  10. Lettering is an art. It has to be drawn, not written. I have lettering, and want some more. But, I think the negative we are voicing isn't about the good artful lettering, but more in reference to "Pinterest" tattoos and mutiple paragraphs on ribs.
  11. Those damn rollerbladers waxing up the curbs and rails!
  12. @ILikePie, it's great to be enthusiastic about something. When you like something, you like it. I think it doesn't receive as overwhelming of a response here because tattoos like that lack longevity. Bold will hold my friend.
  13. This album has been on rotation a bit lately. I dig that crusty black grind shit.
  14. Br'er Rabbit playing a trombone. I'm not sure why.
  15. Just watched Spring Breakers. Loved it. Definitely up there with Kids in the Harmony Korine pantheon.
  16. She's a beaut. Good taste Phil!
