  1. No kidding. Flying to Calgary from NB is more expensive than to England. Dont even get me started on Canada Post prices...
  2. Rad! A tattooer buddy of mine just got his foot tattoed by Chad in July. He just let him do whatever he wanted. Turned out great!
  3. I sorta assumed he would be haha Im not to worried about it though. It will turn out fantastic, and If it hurts allot that just means I earned it haha
  4. The center of the chest was the most painful for me. Right on the sternum. It was a 4 hour sit and I was a huge bitch about it. The best way to describe it is that it was flavourful. I could feel it in my mouth and tongue. Right at the coccyx and at top of the sternum, bellow the neck was the worst.
  5. Ressurection of a very old thread. Any other painters out there? I posted some art I did on here a year or two ago but thought id show you some if my recent stuff! Thanks for looking! https://www.instagram.com/a_beukeveld/?hl=en
  6. Planning on getting my back done by Dave Cummings in a year. Im going to discuss it with him while he tattoos my arm at the convention. Im not sure what I want yet. Im thinking either Benten, some sort of giesha imagery, or just a dragon. Ill probably go with the latter. I always lived dragon back pieces, and I LOVE the one he did on Halter. Im grateful that he's fairly close to New Brunswick, its only a 1 hour plane ride, although it would be nicer if I lived in Montreal. I am nervous about the pain. Im a pretty good sitter, but when I got my chest done, the pain and discomfort was unbearable. 4 hour sit. One shot. Might have to do with the fact I have almost no muscle on my chest, the tattooer who did it is slow and heavy handed, and it was right on my sternum. I dont know. I guess Ill have to just suck it up. Recently I found that not listening to music and not being on my phone makes the experience much better. You kinda go into a meditative state when you dont destract yourself. I fell asleep during my last leg tattoo.
  7. I took the second bandage off at day 4 because the fluid had dried up. I washed all the crap away and they looked pretty good. Painless removal. No bleeding or scabbing. Although I did notice some tender spots where flakes have come off premature, and had that shiny, "wet" look to them. So I used some scraps and put a third layer on them that Ill keep on for a day or two. For my next saniderm heal, which will be this Saturday, ill leave the second bandage on for 5 or 6 days, instead of 4. Thanks for all the help!
  8. Flying in from New Brunswick for this one! Basically hopping a plane after work on Saturday afternoon, spending a night and flying back after the con is over. Already booked a hannya on my arm from Dave Cummings, waiting on an email from Stace Forand for an oni on my knee, and hopefully a banger from Lucas Ford or Ryan Halter if I have time left. Going to try and grab some japanese refference from Gomineko as well.
  9. Going to be going to the Montreal show in September. Already booked a spot with Dave Cummings for a hannya on my arm, and im waiting an email confirmation for an oni on my knee from Stace Forand. If I have time left I want to get something from either Ryan Halter or Lucas Ford, also. In a few days Im going to be getting a giesha demon/hannya on my inner thigh from Jeremy Lamos. After the Montreal con will be the Hub City Moncton con. Dont know what Ill get there. Probably a Stinky from Sailor Jerry. :) Its going to be a fun next few months haha
  10. Ive gotten a few sinse my last post on here. Chest and skull/dagger are by Josh Peters. Kingyo is by Daryl Hart. Tiger by Shaun Martinson. Heart and flies are by Pat Mcfarlane. (pardon the saniderm)
  11. How much fluid is too much fluid on your second wrap for Saniderm? Im on day 3 now for my second bandage and a good amount of fluid had collected on the tattoo under the bandage sinse the day I replaced ky initial bandage. None is leaking out, it is all contained ontop of the tattoo. Is all this fluid supposed to dry up by now? It doesnt hurt or feel uncomforable. Heres are photos of it now, and when I first applied the second bandage. (which was on the morning of the 7th.) Thanks.
