I really like Salty Walt and Joel D Long's stuff. Opposite ends of the spectrum but I have a work conference there in June and would like to get tattooed. Can you gals recommend any artists or shops that I should definitely check out? My AirBnB is by the convention center but I can take an Uber somewhere if need be.

Sweet and Sour Babies done by Mike Fite at Philadelphia Tatoo convention 2015. No appointments, walked up and drawn up. In and out of there in an hour. Bought one of his wild ass t shirts to boot. Will get work from Mike again whenever possible. -
Flew out to Chicago for a weekend with my girlfriend and stopped into Great Lakes Tattoo. Booked an appointment with Mario for the following day. Psychedelic scorpion came out super rad and Mario was a pretty cool guy. -
Some of my favorite artists opened a new shop a few blocks from my house. Walk-in on a Friday night. Scott is always pleasant and I'm not getting that Crimson ghost touched up. -
From Han's line book, drove up in the summer of 2016. Very nice artist tattooed my girlfriend at the end of the night. -

Sup dudes/dudettes, I've been getting tattooed for 15 years in Philadelphia and just went to my first convention last year. Collected works from Eric Perfect, Mike Hooligan, Scott Bakoss, Eddie Kes, The Gus, Mike Fite, Mario Desa, Han Shinko and I just booked an appt with Chad Koeplinger at Pagoda City Fest and am really excited. Praise Jah I still have both forearms entirely clear. I referred my little brother up to Smith Street, he really hit it off with Bert and got a lot of work that I'm pretty jealous of. Spent countless hours at Kadillac Deuce Tattoo and Olde City Tattoo but getting tattooed at Great Lakes Tattoo on vacation was a treat. Not sure how this website works, I'm just trying to keep my eyes peeled for people guesting on the east coast and shops I should check out.
