  1. i noticed that after 12 years of living in ohio and seeing tattoos on a regular basis, when i went back to atlanta to visit earlier this year i noticed very few people with visible tattoos. i know there are plenty of people in the metro area and wouldve expected to see more. i did notice i got a lot more weird looks and people starring down there. it was kinda comforting actually. i think in general there is a larger working class population in this part of ohio, so tattoos have been alot more socially acceptable. i also just noticed that i said notice or some variation of it several times...
  2. skulls, daggers, spider webs, straight razors and any combination there of....actually just about any type of weapon is cool also, insects which i dont see much of but i really like when someone does a cool insect in a any style. my plan for all the little spots left on my left arm is to fill it up with different bugs.
  3. stained skin has some great guys, id go see drew at high street in columbus. he does some really nice portraits and is a great guy too. and that's not saying anything bad about stained skin, but really i think drew does some of the best portraits ive seen around this part of ohio.
  4. there was guy that got tattooed by the guy i work with and then he let some guy do a bunch of free tattoos on him and there were several louis vuitton tattoos. i kept thinking, yeah...im a high roller and need this louis vuitton stuff tattooed on me to show that but i don't wanna pay for it.
  5. ironically, its i before e except in words like neighbor and weigh...at least thats the little thing they taught us in school to remember. that said, i usually just say the people next door.
  6. poser, he says "body art" and later calls himself a punk rocker. he has no clue what pure fucking hatred is...attempting clever irony might make him a hipster but i'm only basing these opinions on the video clips
  7. yesterday it was today it's
  8. so is this whoever loses the contest goes? and im not totally sure @gougetheeyes but i think tattooers are chosen based on if they work for free or they work for free and will give you xanax before tattooing you. that rv with "do no destroy" spray painted on the side is mostly where said tattooing occurs.
  9. Senator Howell Tankerbell: I wish I could be everywhere that people are doin' awrt, so that I could keep the public from gettin' aroused...or titillated...or otherwise confused by the counterculture.
  10. has anyone seen hard candy? i let the guy i work with borrow it and he hated it. never did explain why but i thought it was pretty fucked up. now it didn't mess with me as much as requiem for a dream but still fucked up. but on a different note, got this movie for my birthday a couple years back from my wife. there are so many reasons this is a great movie..plus its a love story about suicide. really what could be better
  11. more often than not, these are the types of coverup requests i get...or they will say "i've got this tattoo started and it just needs filled in..." then they show me this.
  12. "i wish i could remember how to make those cool fart noises with my armpit like when i was a kid" or turns and catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror, "wow..do i really look like this?" or he just nicked his nipple shaving his body hair off
  13. hipster can't ever ruin something, you can tell a poser when you see them. i will continue to like what i like, never gave a shit if it was popular before and i'm not going to start caring now. but i don't go out and hang out with people so if i do drink a pbr it will be at home...cheaper and away from the hipster crowd!
  14. like a medical drawing of a mime just in case you wondered what's inside that single wide trailer in dayton
  15. thanks :) i tried to find the one with adam sandler where they are the old couple and he's reading restaurant reviews but didn't find anything.
  16. im a total geek, and ive watched a full length documentary on just that font. Helvetica so it's possible that the person is a graphic designer or some type of layout/print artist.
  17. i was wondering if it was soy milk based, even more interesting that its yeast based. it sounds tasty.
  18. this is the new hipster pepto ad, he's debating on if he needs to sit back down or not....3am taco bell consumption after drinking was a bad idea.
  19. it's not the cassettes, it's whats on them that sounds horrible.
  20. i live in a small town in southwestern ohio, next to wright patterson afb (the largest air force base and at one point the largest military base in north america) also home to the national airforce museum. National Museum of the USAF - Virtual Tour if you are ever in the area, it is worthy of checking out. it's free and pretty impressive even if you aren't a total airplane geek like me. dayton, ohio is close by and home to several wright brothers historical sites and museums. but really, fairborn's biggest and coolest thing going on happens this time of year because the guy who owns most of the shops downtown is a total halloween/moster collector and the majority of the stores are costume and halloween related, including a couple haunted houses. so around mid september he decorates all of downtown and it keeps getting bigger each year. i'll try and take some pics, i may have to use my phone so the pics wont be as good as the camera since it's currently out of commission. fairborn is also home to the bookery Bookery Fantasy Comics, Collectibles, Games, and Toys which apparently has just had part of their sign stolen.
