  1. You need to talk to an artist. It can definitely be covered, but as @Devious6 says, I don't think you can put a dreamcatcher over it because of the angle and spacing. But the only way to know for sure is to speak to a reputable artist ASAP.
  2. (And you will need to let it heal a bit before you cover it.)
  3. Always do your research and go to a reputable shop. Always. That's what I would recommend doing now. Find a tattoo artist in your area who does coverups well, and go and see him for a consultation. I am sorry you are unhappy with it.
  4. Thanks. You can't go wrong with American traditional! I love it.
  5. People can do what they like, of course. But try sitting for three days at a tattoo convention paperwork table listening to people wax lyrical about their infinity symbol the size of a dime. It was just funny. Anyway, we all have our bugaboos, and this is one of mine. You should absolutely feel free to not read this thread. ;-)
  6. I guess it is a cultural thing because every artist I know would much prefer a cash tip than a "gift," especially if you don't know them very well. *shrug*
  7. And it's now hanging in his shop in Tulsa.
  8. I've never seen a tattoo artist decline a tip. Ever. Give him a tip. He has to pay his bills.
  9. P.S. If there is another thread like this elsewhere, point me in that direction, and I'll get this deleted. I just didn't see one.
  10. I noticed this weekend at the convention that people with tiny tattoos on their wrist or a small black tattoo outline on their ankle consider themselves tattoo experts. I know they are excited, and they feel part of a club, but dude. You are not an expert because you have an infinity symbol on your wrist or your kid's name written on your ankle. They know EVERYTHING because they have a five-minute $50 tattoo of their sorority name on their wrist or inside of their fingers. It was hilarious and also very weird. I like that they refer to people without tiny tattoos on their wrists as plainskins. Um, no. Just no. Also, as an aside, I hate the term "plainskins." I don't judge anyone for not having tattoos. They aren't plainskins. They are just people who don't have tattoos.
  11. @SStu, NOTHING! All the artists I wanted to get tattooed by were far too busy, and Richard didn't feel like tattooing at the convention. I have to drive back over in a few days/couple of weeks, and he'll tattoo me then. I saw him right before he left, and he was game—he just didn't want to do it there. That said, I was way too busy to take the time to get tattooed. We had lines of people waiting to fill out their health department paperwork to get tattooed at times. So it worked out OK.
  12. @Patrick Bateman Look at the post directly above yours. :-)
  13. Been a busy day. I've been helping artists fill out the necessary health department paperwork for each and every tattoo. Here are a couple of photos from today.
  14. No, I don't have hair all over me, and they always itch. Slap it. It helps. :-)
  15. @steve It happened just today on my 2nd Annual Oklahoma Tattoo Convention thread.
  16. Double posts are a thing. I know I only hit Submit Reply once (on another thread), and it posted it twice, once with the attached photo and once without. Also, I occasionally get a weird message saying you can only like ten items a day?
  17. Tomorrow! Looking forward to it. Here is an updated list of artists and vendors.
  18. What @DJDeepFried said. She absolutely made the right decision. If he's so amazing and so internationally recognized, he'd have friends in the area and a studio to tattoo in. He doesn't. It's shady. End of as far as I'm concerned.
  19. I don't quite know how to find my gallery anymore, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. It looks really fantastic!
