  1. I have absolutely no idea how to read that tattoo. I know the original quote, but I do not understand what is going on with the order of the words. Anyway, it'll be fine. Two weeks is too soon to guess this kind of thing.
  2. Red isn't my issue, but blue is. Blue can be a nightmare on my skin. My artist actually threw away a bottle of ink because he was convinced it was contaminated because of what it did to my skin. Some colors just don't work great on some skin. He eventually found a blue that would work on me.
  3. There aren't many (if any) artists here, so you won't find many answers. Good luck with your first tattoo!
  4. No tattoo artist worth his salt is going to just tattoo this on you. You need to give him your ideas, and let him draw it. Please, please, please listen to us. I don't want you to end up with a big old mess on your back.
  5. Totally wrong place. The only people who can help you are actual tattoo artists looking for an apprentice. Good luck.
  6. @Kracov, I highly recommend sharing your ideas with a tattoo artist and let them create something for you.
  7. Good advice here, @Vix35. ^^^That sounds like the perfect plan. White really does look gross when it ages—a lot like a skin disease or a yellowed mess.
  8. There's little to no activity as it is. This would kill it dead.
  9. I like the second one. Really fun little tattoo.
  10. I'm very clumsy. Said clumsiness and propensity to run into things and get bruises has never affected any of my tattoos. Quit worrying.
  11. I didn't mention what my tattoo is, so I'll add it here. It's a drawing by the artist Keith Haring called "Barking Dog." He was a pop/graffiti artist from the 80s. He died of AIDS in 1990. I studied 20th century art in college and grad school, and I've been a fan of Keith's since I was a kid. I have two other drawings by him tattooed on me, too: a dancing man behind my left ear (from one of his larger drawings) and Funny Bunny on my right ankle. I also have a crown from graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat, who was a contemporary of Haring.
  12. That happens with me with certain colors, too, @Devious6. It's odd, but it is easy enough to touch up.
  13. Get a pink panther! Although you'll still be able to see that sun through it. ;-)
  14. This is a cover up of my first tattoo, which was shit. (I got in 1996 when I was in college with little to no thought, and I was half in the bag.), so it is really my second tattoo. It was covered up in 2011, and I haven't stopped since. Now I've lost count.
  15. You have to have a certain number of posts under your belt before you can post anywhere else. Introduce yourself and ask your question here.
  16. Same. I'm all over the map. Tattoos don't have to match or have a theme. Get what you like!
