  1. Never, ever get another tattoo. They are made by humans, and they are imperfect. There is nothing wrong with your tattoo, but you have convinced yourself there is. I don't know what to tell you other than do NOT get another tattoo. For your own sanity.
  2. How is that? Aquaphor doesn't have a scent. That's odd.
  3. Let it heal. It will look milky and faded for a while. That is part of healing.
  4. Yeah. What he said. Sorry. It's still a nice way to memorialize your grandpa.
  5. The smell is not good. Go see your doctor.
  6. It's still healing. I'd just leave it alone for now. Don't put anything on it.
  7. No way is aftercare worse! Nope nope nope. I can deal with itching. In some spots I've been tattooed, it was absolutely excruciating.
  8. It will fade. Those kinds of tattoos generally do. But get it if you want. You can enjoy it while it lasts! :-)
  9. I'm so sorry that your bad experience has put you off for life. I don't think anything can be done at this point if you don't want to cover it up.
  10. Sorry, @Boiled Dove. Sending good vibes, man.
  11. Jesus. That looks bad. I am so sorry this happened to you.
  12. Alicia, I have been there. In my case, one of mine was poorly done (not by my regular artist), but it was smaller, and it was a bit spur of the moment. I think it would have been worse if I had been looking forward to it like you were. Maybe you can get it recolored/retouched/reworked? I don't know. In the end, I just had my regular artist completely rework it, and now I love it. Just let it heal and give it some thought. You aren't stuck with it exactly as it is. Things can be done to change it and improve it.
  13. Isn't this thread nearly two years old? Is there a problem somewhere else? I didn't see it. Haven't been here a whole lot.
  14. It took my skin off. And the shower won't help. Tried it all. I have pretty sensitive skin.
  15. This. Outlines kill and shading is easy peasy. It's different for everyone.
  16. It pulled my skin off after three days. I can't imagine after 5 or 6.
  17. I burn it all the time, too. And I didn't say it would cause an infection. I just wouldn't want it in my face or near me and my open wound in a shop. Luckily, no shop I've been to burns it. So no problem.
  18. I love the smell of green soap. I just thought I'd share.
  19. Welcome to the forum. I really would leave it as is.
  20. I have a series of symbols up my left inner wrist, and I don't think it looks weird. Just add something you like next to it.
  21. Welcome! I really like your tattoo as is. Maybe leave it?
