  1. Also, quit drowning it in Aquaphor or whatever you are using. Just let it dry heala at this point.
  2. Yes. It's just the surface. I recently got my knee done, and it had deep grooves in it where it bends. It looks normal now.
  3. It looks like you have been picking your scabs, drenching them in something like Aquaphor, or the artist went WAY TOO DEEP. Essentially, you need to keep it clean, stop drowning it in stuff, and never pick the scabs. It will have to be touched up because whatever you are doing/whatever your artist did has made the scabs pull out a lot of the color. Just keep it clean and DO NOT PICK at it.
  4. I got my knee done (not the ditch), and it took weeks to heal. The inside ditch of both of my arms took a while to fully heal, too. You just have to get on with it, keep it clean, and learn to leave with the pain until it heals.
  5. This post is over three years old. A lot of people ask questions then never come back. I wouldn't count on an update. 😂
  6. Looks like you are putting too much stuff on it. Let it dry heal.
  7. Jesus. That's a massive blowout. Don't go back to that artist. Blowout happens, but that is HUGE. Find a better artist and get more tattoos around it.
  8. Talk to your artist and let him sketch some stuff up.
  9. That is not a thing. Any decent tattoo artist isn't going to take some rando sketch and tattoo it on you. Talk to tattoo artists. Learn what makes a good tattoo. No one here is going to sketch for you because that is not how any of this works. Good luck.
  10. Red is difficult to heal. It doesn't mean you are allergic. It will heal. I'd just let it dry heal at this point.
  11. Still not an allergy. Red can be difficult to heal.
  12. I just don't think it's a great quality tattoo. But if you like it, that's all that matters.
  13. Unless you want to get a giant black panther to cover it up, I wouldn't worry about it. I wouldn't go back to that artist, though. Please. Also, just get more tattoos to distract from that one.
  14. Not an allergy. Just an artist overworking the skin.
  15. There is so much traditional to choose from. I have a leg covered in it. Find a great artist and discuss it with him.
  16. I love Sailor Jerry stuff. I have a lot of American traditional tattoos, so I think that is a great idea.
  17. It looks like a healing tattoo.

    New tattoo

We need to see some of his coverups. Just because he says he can do it doesn't mean he actually can.
  19. Good to know. After my brutal knee heal, it'll be a few months before I get tattooed again, but it does need to be touched up, and we're supposed to be adding fillers and stars and dots. I'm going to get a fresh bottle of cocoa butter and start using it! Thanks, @Hogrider!
  20. Same. If I trust the artist (and I do trust the guy who has done 99% of my tattoos), tell him roughly what you want and let them do their thing. Micromanaging a talented artist is gross, and you will end up annoying the artist like you did this person. Hope you can find someone else to tattoo you. Good luck.
