    Problem

Wow, I totally agree with you! I think there's where we are different, because I'm such a perfectionist with tattoos, but I totally understand your point and it's so cool you can think like that, without worrying too much (like me and the OP, hahaha) and just enjoying tattoos! :D I hope I could think like that and stop worrying about imperfections I will try to find the video you're talking about, thanks!! - - - Updated - - - Wow, I totally agree with you! Problem

Hahaha, I'm sorry if I sounded disrespectful, since english is not my first lenguage I don't know much about protocol. I didn't mean to make him worry about it. I also think it looks good even when he didn't heal well, but it stills not a perfect healed tattoo yet, and I just think it doesn't look like that. I mean, he asked if it's normal: I think it's not. The usual would be to look smoothed and settled after two months. Hahaha But I agree with you: he doesn't need to worry Enviado desde mi JY-G4 mediante Tapatalk

    Problem

All of my tattoos look smooth and like all the other skin around them :/ Not like this. And absolutelly not after two months. Maybe he's healing slowly or something, so I think it will solve by its own, but definetly this is not how a proper healed tattoo looks like, lol Do yours? Enviado desde mi JY-G4 mediante Tapatalk

    Problem

I don't think this is normal. The skin where you have tattooed areas is like snake skin. It looks super dry and cracked. I would say it's just that you have sensitive dry skin but I see the non-tattooed skin around the tattoo pretty normal. Go to your tattoo artist and ask, but I guess it can't be like this forever and it will solve by its own... Anyway, you did super bad by using vaseline. This is the worst you could do. Maybe it's because of that it happened Good luck Enviado desde mi JY-G4 mediante Tapatalk
  5. Welcome! :D have fun! Yesterday I watched an history documentary about tattoos and I learned a lot. It was in spanish tho, but it was a voiceover so if I found the original one in english I will post it if you're interested in tattoo history :) Enviado desde mi JY-G4 mediante Tapatalk
  6. I think natural products are the best choice :) What I use is Ultra balm the first 2-3 days and then Dream Cream. Both by Lush and both vegan! No alcohol, just natural scent, nothing irritating: all natural ingredients. They are kind of expensive but they last a lot of time. The Ultra balm survived the healing for two sessions of a full back piece (it means I used it 5-6 days, twice a day. On a full back piece) and then it was used up. The dream cream is a big recipient, so it also lasts a lot. Both of them were fantastic. Also the oat milk in the dream cream is super calming, so it helps SO MUCH with the itching during the peeling stage. Really, these products are just magic! I heal super fast after my two sessions and both the outlines and the color showed awesome! Enviado desde mi JY-G4 mediante Tapatalk
  7. Welcome! :D I love the knife across the winged insect (my firts lenguage is spanish so I don't know what's the name for this, sorry, hahaha) tattoo. Your collection is awesome, such a good taste!
  8. You killed me, hahaha, I was not expecting that. My nickname is something super childish (as usual so I'm a little baby on here). When I was 10 I translated my name to japanese and it was Niemh, because I was (and I am) a huge lover of japanese culture. I didn't like it so I added an 'a': Naiemh. 9. Welcome Nick!! I'm also new on here, and I'm 21 year old too! Hope you have fun on here :D This is a super interesting place where you can learn a lot about tattoos and I'm loving to spend my free time minutes of the day on here, so hope you do so :D About your tattoo: yes, you can post the shop and the artist name, as I saw a lot of people doing so. Why do you want to cover it? I mean, that's a cool tattoo, and it's well done, don't you think? Maybe you could retouch it adding some more details and it will look more professional. 250 dollars is so cheap for such a big tattoo, but anyway it's not a mess, it's cool. To cover it up would be kind of difficult because it's a dark and big tattoo! Anyway, I think you can be proud of it, not ashamed at all. Check this post: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/worst-tattoo-ever/3541-our-bad-tattoos.html so you can see what it really looks a messed up tattoo, hahaha Have fun!
  10. Such an awesome piece! I'm so impressed! Your tattooist is so talented!!! Bahamut wings are so beautiful <3
  11. Hello!! I really don't recommend you to tattoo anything in an area that stretches and expands so easily. I mean, maybe you will lose weight and gain weight again, or lose it forever, or even gain weight. If it happens (and it will happen, because life changes and maybe as you said you left the medication or something like that) the tattoo will be expanded or stretched at the same time, and yes: it will look bad. If you want proofs, check this post: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/blogs/inkedmumma/424-journey-so-far.html This is a super beautiful woman and she loves her stretch marks because it's a beautiful proof of life, since it appeared after she was pregnant. And she loves it, so that's absolutelly perfect and beautiful. But, if you won't love your tattoo even if it's a disaster after you lose or gain weight, then don't do it. If you will love it even when it's not a perfect tattoo, and it's actually a damaged tattoo: go for it!!! :D About cover the stretch marks, you can't do it with a tattoo. They will still visible and, also, the tattoo won't look good on them. I recommend you to heal the stretch marks with aloe or mosqueta, or specific lotions for that. You can also go to a dermatollogist and he would tell you what's best for you, I know there are amazing lasers that erase scars and marks. Just make your skin healthier before doing a tattoo! About your illnes: Good luck, you can do it!! :D Enviado desde mi JY-G4 mediante Tapatalk
  12. Hello again! :D I think I can help you because I was as obsessed as you to knowing EVERYTHING, every little detail, about the healing process. It's just okay to worry about it, since it's something super important. For this small piece, just don't worry: you can take care of it as if it was a little wound. I mean, nothing will stick on it since it's just so small! This is just outlines, right? Don't worry, ointment the first 2-3 days and then a regular lotion to moisturize. As 9Years said (how can I mention someone??? I can't find the option) just use the lotion you usually use, non-scented, obviously. Avoid alcohols too. For the larger one, that's what I'm doing healing my whole back piece: The first three days use ointment. You can use just lotion if you're 100% sure you won't touch anything dirty with the tattooed area. If not, use ointment, because it kinds of protect you from the dirt better than a simple lotion. Then you should switch to the lotion, since the tattoo will make a "heavy skin" on it that protects itself, so you don't need this extra protection. Don't let ANYTHING to rub the tattoo, NEVER, until it's 100% healed. I recommend you to not letting anything to touch it as much as you can (if I'm in home, I just go without a shirt, totally nude on the tattooed area, my entire back. In your case, go with shorts! The upper ankle is a super easy area to keep exposed to the air) , but since it's impossible while we're dressed outside, just try that your clothes are 100% clean and VERY loose. Your small ankle tattoo is not going to stick to anything, so don't worry. Just try to sleep with it exposed to the air. But I realle not recommend to wrap it. I know some people will say that's okay, but this is an open wound and you should let it heal exposed to fresh air, you know... I never wraped a tattoo, never ever. Also, I actually have a tattoo in the upper ankle (you can see it in my gallery, the cats one) and it was super uncomfortable to wear socks: try to not wear socks. If you have to, try to wear loose socks that will not rub on the tattoo! For the big tattoo you're planing: the same, 3 days ointment, then lotion. For my back I just wash it twice a day (morning and night), dry it with kitchen paper (because it's tough and it won't let you small pieces of paper as the toilet one), let it alone 5 minutes, and then put the ointment/lotion on. For sleep the first 2 days I did it without shirt, so you should sleep without pants or with shorts if they don't touch the tattoo. Also without sheets on. Yes, I had a cold. Hahahaha. But that's the best to avoid fresh tattoos sticking to sheets or clothes. After the third day you can sleep with loose clothes and it won't stick. At least, mine didn't stick the third day when I slept with shirt! About the aloe, mmmh... I don't know. I used to use it on my face to heal some acne scars and it irritated my face sometimes, and you really don't want to irritate a tattoo... so go and ask your tattooist! He/she will know better than us. hope it helps!
  13. Welcome!! I'm new here too, nice to meet you! Some of the pics are broken! Or, at least, I can't see them Anyway I can see the zombie girl one, that's so cool!! I'm not sure if the mansion idea is a nice one, I mean, it depends on how it's executed. Anyway, the bat background do sounds good! Hope you have fun on here! :) Enviado desde mi JY-G4 mediante Tapatalk
  14. Hello!! Nice to meet you! I'm new on here too, so I hope we can learn a lot on this forum!! About the ribs design, that's so beautiful!!! Will you add colour to it? I think it can look amazing if you do!! Good luck! Enviado desde mi JY-G4 mediante Tapatalk

  17. Hello!!! Wow, thanks a lot for your advice, I totally agree with what you're explaining. I know I'm being too much impatient and, if I'm having these collapses, is all my fault. But, I mean, I don't think that the fact that I'm finishing it in just one month is the problem. I mean, the first session (the outlines) was the worst one, and it was the one when I had multiple collapses. Then with the second one I just had one. And the only difference between them is that the second one hurted WAY LESS than the first one! Even when the second one was just 14 days after the second one. So I guess it's nothing about I'm doing so much sessions in a small period of time, but with the pain of them. Since I heal super fast and, in 10 days after de first session, I was 100% recovered!!! I try to eat A LOT before the tattoo session, but I will take your advice and ask my tattooist if I can eat something more contundent in the middle of the session. I will bring some sandwiches to the next one. Good idea!! Hope he doesn't mind. It's only one session left and it is in two weeks. I heal super fast so I guess this is time enough to rest, for me. So, since I'm on the last stage now, it's useless to take it with calm, hahaha Also, I really don't want to have an unfinished tattoo during the summer. I gues I'm too snooty... :/ But you're totally right: I'm forcing my body and it's completelly normal having collapses. Next time I will ask someone to take me home in a car so I won't collapse in the bus... So I'm not worried about it. I mean, the collapses are horrible, but the last time I had only one collapse and it lasted 10 minuts (then I'm just tired, I sleep a few hours and I'm okay), I can hold it if it happens again after my last session, since it would be the last session and I know I won't have to get through it anymore, never again!!! Hahaha Also you're right with the numbing gel, I thought about it and after these two weeks I guess I will be ready to hold the next session without problems, as I helt the second one. That's what makes me angry: there's a lot of people that cries, move, even jump of the sit, because it hurts so much and they can't hold the pain (and I understand them, totally). And they don't collapse. But I hold the whole session without crying nor moving, but then after galf an hour I do have collapses.... That's because my body is so weak, and I hate it, so I will just ignore it one more time, for the last time. I mean, since after 10 minutes I'm okay, it won't kill me. Right? Hahaha But you're right, I totally deserve the collapses since I'm forcing my body u_u
  18. Wow, I can't believe you can hold this situation... RUN from this city, hahaha I'm sure you will have a lot of problems with people staring and calling you shit after doing your tattoo, as a lot of Christian people are against tattooing your body. That's what makes me angry the most; even when you respect them, a lot of them won't respect you. Run, seriously. Run.
  19. As you are using a mobile phone try to edit the title using a computer! It's probably a bug from the app. About the tattoo, I love it!! The lines are so perfect, congratulations!!! I'm sure he loved it even if he doesn't know to appreciate your effort thinking this was an easy job!! Enviado desde mi JY-G4 mediante Tapatalk
  20. Hello! Congrats for making the decission of coming out as an atheist! I find your symbol and its meaning so strong and beautiful, nice idea, I loved it! Anyway, for the desing just go to a tattoo artist and ask him/her to draw it smoothed and perfect! He/she will know how to do this better than anybody! Anyway, for fun, I tried to do it, but I really think you should go and ask it to a tattoo artist Good luck!
  21. Thanks a lot!!! The tattoo artist name is Nil Marqués Coll, and I'm super happy with my decission! He is so talented! Unfortunatelly I just have bad quality mirror auto-pictures of it (since it's not finished I won't worry about taking good photos, yet, hahaha), but I can show you at least these pics :D First session, just drawing the outlines And this one is from the second session
