No peanuts near me, maybe half bottle of wine I was enjoying on a bank holiday after getting tattooed today. Does it really matter the terminology used, just go get a tattoo without a rule book in your back pocket. Pointless thread.

My sister is captain of a team in essex\England. It's like being at a tattoo convention when I go to watch, they love there tattoos.

When I got my first tattoo 22 years ago it was because I thought I was tough and didn't give a fuck. Still today 22years later i like to think that getting a tattoo is still partly rebelling. So I will call my artist my artist, a machine a gun and a tattoo a tat if I sure choose so. Bring back the days of bikers, sailors and rebels getting tattooed as there seems to be to many softies with to many rules with regards to getting tattooed today.

If that's what the person wants and likes then its not a bad tattoo is it? I'm sure some people with fine lined realistic stuff will think my tattoos are old fashioned looking. Eye in the beholder and all that.

I know my point being if she did get into body building and gaining muscle I wouldn't like it, so I have to respect although she doesn't mind tattoos she also doesn't want me covered head to toe.

So in layman terms you can blast the ink harder with out damaging the skin?

From our heated discussion the one thing she said that did make me think I need to slow down is "well ill up my exercising and put some muscle on then, would you still fancy me then?" Basically my girlfriend does weights to keep her self toned and I always comment on not over doing this as I do not want a girlfriend with muscles. Basically she made a valid point that in a healthy relationship you do need to fancy one another. We broke up for a month regarding other matters so I should of got them all done then....!

Wanted to start collecting on my legs but my girlfriend has pleaded with me to keep some parts of my body non tattooed. I'm divided at the moment, yes it's my body to do how I like but on the other side she has no tattoos and has been pretty good about me getting both arms,chest and back done.

I run my own business doing computer aided design, drawings for large infrastructure. So when tendering for projects I have to sit in meetings with high up managers of schools, hospitals, banks etc. I need to suit up and look "professional" and although I'm my own boss and can do what I want I also don't want to think every time I don't win a tender it's because of my un professional appearance. I would love swallows on my hands but like I said winning work, paying for my children and my mortgage takes preference over this.

i'm once again single, the amount of relationship's i seem to go through i might as well have the girls name's as a backpiece...!

yea tattoos have changed my life, can't exercise and swim because i'm always healing something and i have less spare cash to spend on drink, drugs and women....!
