  1. What's the next big trend - home lasik surgery?? Proving Mark Twain right again - the difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has its limits.
  2. It's entirely possible that I'm missing the point of this style, but this looks to me like a lame attempt to look bad-ass. I've always thought that when you really are a bad-ass, you don't need to tell anyone, they just know.
  3. +1 Only in the arts and music do some people think that ignorance is a good thing.
  4. I hope they are providing free lazer removal! I can't believe they kept letting those knuckleheads pollute peoples skin with that crap.
  5. I can't tattoo so maybe we could team up. You tattoo, I'll be the ass-hole! :-)
  6. I don't know why I can't seem to stop watching this train wreck. It's like a two headed bug - as much as you want to step on it, you can't help but look. Did anyone see that abomination of a dragon that Clint tattooed last night? Oliver said something like it looked like he shot the dragon and beat the shit out of it for six hours. It was God-awful. From a few feet away it looked like a big black blob. I don't know what I'd do if I had that on me. As much as I know that the "human canvases" should know better, I have to feel a little sorry for someone that had that done to them. I'm not sure it's even fixable. He may have to have it lazered off and start over. Or as some people on here have said, have it covered up with a black bear eating licorice in a dark cave at night. At least the crazy lady appears to have taken her meds before the show. After last week's complete breakdown, I was afraid for the three amigos. I thought her head was going to start spinning and she would start hurling pea soup, doing her best exorcist imitation. I was waiting for her to say, "Don't count me out and don't turn your backs if you do!!"
  7. Enjoy this time of your life. When I was young I wanted to be a rock star. I played up and down the east coast and it was one of the best times of my life. I have memories I wouldn't trade for a million dollars. I love my life now too, so I guess I'm one of the lucky ones.
  8. It's nice when you are in a position to pick and choose. In this economy most of us are more concerned with keeping our jobs than in choosing clients that agree with our views on tattoos.
  9. I used to work in the financial services industry as a pension planner. Most of our clients were wealthy, older white men whose asses were so tight they squeaked. I can tell you that a function of some jobs is instilling confidence in the client. I did not have tattoos then, but I am 99.9999% certain that many of our clients would not have done business with the company if I had hand, face, neck or visible tattoos. It's not just about what YOU think, it's about what your clients think. - - - Updated - - - I used to work in the financial services industry as a pension planner. 10. I don't know how serious you are about the cover it up part, but if he's thinking about covering it up, his wrist is the wrong place to get it. He should write the script on his wrist with a magic marker and spend a few days seeing how he likes it before he gets it permanently tattooed on.
  11. They really need to get better tattooers. This season is much worse than last. Some of the abominations that have gone on the "human canvases" is just embarrassing. It's hard to believe that they can't find 16 people in the entire country that are capable of doing a decent (not even great) tattoo and will go on the show. At least find people that aren't bad. Also, they should eliminate the pin-up girl. Last season and this season the pinups SUCKED.
  12. I agree with the school - if we don't mention tattoos or educate them about tattoos, the kids will simply forget about tattoos. Banning sex education has reduced pregnancy why wouldn't it work for tattoos? Remember - ignorance is power!!!
  13. Thanks. My artist just did the outline of a Medusa on someone last week. Good luck with yours! Also, just got my chest panel colored and my elbow done yesterday. Not too bad today, but it was uncomfortable to say the least. I've been working on the sleeve and chest panel since February, probably 8 sessions. One session to go. I'll be so glad to be done. Next up is a ladyhead and wolf on my calf.
  14. Hannya Mask, Chest Panel as part of a sleeve. Did the outline about two months ago, color yesterday. Done by Jesse Tseronis at Sakura Tattoo in Winchester, VA. We've been working on the sleeve since February. One more session!
  15. The first season none of the canvases knew what they were getting in to. After seeing B-Tat and All Fiction putting their crap on people, they should know better. I have a hard time feeling too much sympathy for people that will put any shit on their bodies just because it's free.
  16. I'm 54 and just got my first tattoo - a sleeve and chest panel. We'll show those snot-nosed punks!!
  17. +1 I can't help myself. It's like watching a two-headed bug. As much as you want to step on it, you have to look. I couldn't believe Nunez watching people fuck up the flags and just shake his head and say he couldn't do anything. These people have to wear this shit for life. I don't care about the rules or the contest; you're supposed to be a professional tattooer - you can't just stand there and let someone do a fucked-up tattoo if you could prevent it. - - - Updated - - - I agree. Like that marine that waited 27 years to finish his tattoo. I'm sitting there thinking, there's a tattoo shop on every corner from New York to LA and it took you 27 years to find someone to do the Marine's Logo??? Are you fucking stupid????
  18. I feel your pain, and I'm going to again. I'm getting a Hanna Mask chest panel as part of my sleeve and during the outline there were a few spots that were really painful. I only had the outline done and am going back 11/5/12 for the color.
