I knew a guy that got a skull on his bicep when he was a skinny little guy. He started lifting weights and developed these huge arms. The skull was stretched out and looked really comical. But given the spot where you have your tattoos, the way they are placed, and the subject matter, I wouldn't give it a thought.

I think it looks great and I'm NOT fooling when I say that. Wear it proudly!
-
Because newbies come on and ask the same questions over and over again without bother to use the search feature to see that there are 100 threads on the topic.
-
-
Unless you've had it more than two months you can stop worrying.
-
The thing next to that other thing. 🙂 What part of only fooling is causing confusion?
-
It's great except for that one little thing, but no one will notice it. Only fooling.

It takes 4 - 6 weeks to heal a tattoo. Don't overthink it. You know that rough/dry patches are NORMAL during the healing process, right?
-
That won't work. Tattoos don't work like that. There are NO do-overs. Even getting it lasered doesn't completely remove it. If someone suggests that, run Forrest, run! I don't mean this in a condescending way, but you need to educate yourself on the tattoo process, the coverup process and the laser process.

Every tattoo does not heal exactly the same way. Don't drown it, just a light coating of whatever you use. I just use cocoa butter, no need for that expensive stuff. Complete waste of money, IMHO.

You can't "fix" this. Your artist lied to you, shading doesn't correct a crooked line or fix a bad design. Your best bet is to find another artist. Don't just look at peoples work on line, people put up work they didn't do all the time. I wouldn't go to anyone without a personal recommendation from someone I know and trust.

It takes 4- 6 weeks for a tattoo to heal. I wouldn't start to worry until then. BUT, it wouldn't hurt to send pics to the artist and ask them.

All parts of the back are not equal. I almost fell asleep while my artist was working on my upper back. When he hit the love handles though, that smarts!

Do a search. It’s very common to initially regret a new tattoo. Do you know what a swastika looks like? I’ve never seen one that looked like that. Don’t do anything without giving it a few months. I’ve seen a lot of disasters caused by people rushing out to “fix” something. It a nice tattoo, enjoy it.

+1 That thing is drowning, you need to let it dry out. At this point I wouldn't put anything on it, but the purpose of moisturizer is so it doesn't dry out. If it's shiny, you have too much. If it's not shiny, you still probably have to much.

Looks good. Leave it alone!!! A dark tattoo on dark skin, you’re going to wind up with a big unreadable mess if you keep screwing with it.
-
Have some of this and calm down! Seriously though, your tattoo is a disaster waiting to happen. The more you monkey with it, the worse it will look. If everyone else thinks it looks great, just accept it an move on. You are FAR more likely to make it worse, than make it better.

Is my tattoo healing normally it’s only a week old
Hogrider replied to Mel3161's topic in Initiation
Tattoos take 4 - 6 weeks to heal. Period. Scabs can happen. Nothing to worry about. -
Nope. That's a coverup waiting to happen. Be prepared for, "What is that???"

My tattoo seems to be getting darker over the first week?

If you'd posted this you would have gotten very different responses. You didn't say it reddened, you said it DARKENED. Go forth and whine no more. -

I know you can't tell me anything until it's healed, but what can you tell me? I'm with you on the no anxiety after getting a tattoo. I read about it and understand it, but I've never felt it. Probably because I waited so long, researched it so thoroughly, and took my time finding the right artist. -

What help would you like? Relax and wait. There is nothing you can do regardless of what the circumstances are. That's not what a blow out looks like. -
I wouldn't go to an artist that specializes in black and grey to get a color tattoo. Kind of like going to a proctologist because you have a cough. It doesn't mean they can't work on both ends, I just like specialists.
