  1. It doesn’t matter. Why didn’t you ask your artist?
  2. Use just enough to keep the skin moist. Too little is better than too much. Yes scabbing is normal.
  3. I'd check with my artist, I wouldn't just show up and hope they were cool with it.
  4. These are questions you should be asking your tattoo artist. We're just guessing. He actually knows what he's going to do.
  5. +1 When people talk about "touching up" lettering, I always wonder what the hell they think they can touch up. Make ALL the lines too thick, too crooked, different lengths? Because you can't undo a tattoo.
  6. You have nerves all over your body close to the skin, just let the artist do his work and don't worry about it. I don't know what to tell you about the touch up other than trust your artist. You left out the part where you are continuing the tattoo and touching it up to match. People get touch ups all the time with varying results. Make sure you're artist is a good one.
  7. 1) Yes, but not horrible 2) yes 3) Tattoos fade. are you going to try to keep them all looking brand new? I wouldn't do it. I've seen a lot of tattoos fucked up when people tried to "fix" or "help" them.
  8. The line making the O is thicker than the others, the two lines forming the A aren’t the same length, and the S is crooked. script is one of the hardest things to do well because there is no room for error. There’s no such thing as a perfect tattoo. Look at any tattoo long enough and you’ll find something wrong with it.
  9. I have multiple tigers, dragons, koi, and flowers on me. Get what you want. P.S. - it's motif, not motive.

Read the rules. 😉 all will become clear.
  11. Stay out of the sun. There is nothing you can now, except stay out of the sun until it’s healed. It will take 4-6 weeks to heal, you’ll know what it’s going to look like then, not before. How do you “unexpectedly” get in the sun. Did you not notice it??
  12. You hear a lot of stupid things on the internet, that’s one of them.
  13. Just to be clear, you aren't using the same artist, right?
  14. If you decide to get one regardless of advice, which is what I suspect will happen, at least don't get it in a place where you can't easily cover it up. When I was young I wanted to be a musician. I wound up in the pension planning industry for a long time. Talk about the most conservative, tight-ass group in the country! Any tattoos would definitely have been a deal breaker. I spent 15 years with short hair and wearing a suit and tie every day. I swore when I got out I would grow my hair down to my ass and never wear anything but jeans and a t-shirt to work again. I made half good on my promise. My hair's only half way down my back and I occasionally wear a shirt with a collar. When I go to an interview now, I wear my shirt sleeves rolled up. They might as well see my tattoos now because I'm not hiding them later.
  15. If I was the artist I'd tell you to take a hike. "Fixing" tattoos makes them worse more often than better in my experience. The tattoo isn't even healed and you're complaining about it. Rushing to "fix" something is a recipe for disaster. I can't tell you how many times I was getting tattooed and someone came in with some shitty glob of ink on their body crying about how they hated their tattoo so they ran out and got a coverup and now it's even worse. You've basically got a lot of lines. They can't move them, they can only tattoo over them. My honest recommendation is "Don't get any more tattoos." Tattooing is an art, not a science. There is no such thing as a perfect tattoo. Your expectations are very unrealistic, in my humble opinion anyway. Sorry to be so harsh, but I think you need a wake up call.
  16. Laser removal isn't like an eraser on a piece of paper. Depending on the tattoo, it's more likely to fade it than remove it. Do your research and set your expectations or you're likely to be very unhappy with the results. I'd find someone good at coverups. That's probably a more realistic approach.
  17. Well, the knee isn’t fun, but if you got through ribs, you’ll be fine.
  18. Looks like what happens when you use too much lotion. Too little is better than too much.
  19. This isn't a forum for scratchers.
  20. As @oboogie said, if it's not hot to the touch and there's no pus, you're probably OK. Not much you can do at this point except wait for it to heal. Scabs that thick will likely take a couple of months, so pour a drink, light a bowl and relax. Your skin is shiny, and that usually means there is too much lotion. If I had scabs like that I'd probably let it dry heal.
  21. When did you get it done?
  22. It would fit, but it's gonna hurt! Looks like you already know that though.
  23. You're putting something permanent on your body. Not the time to worry about price. Simple tattoos can be harder than complex tattoos because you'll see every minor flaw. There's no place to hide. Let's put it this way - It's still cheaper than laser removal and a cover up.
  24. I don’t think this work is as good. Get your tattoo from the person that is fluent in the style, not from the “I can do anything” Tattooer.
