  1. It looks cool. Wear it with pride!
  2. Yes, put away the microscope. Blow out means the ink has spread. There is no way to suck the ink back out. As @oboogie said, "fixing" it will only make it worse.
  3. 6 - 8 weeks to heal no matter how many questions you ask, or how you rephrase them. šŸ˜‰
  4. I've never used anything except a little cocoa butter. Hundreds of hours of work all healed fine.
  5. First, it takes 6 - 8 weeks to heal. Unless it's oozing, painful and hot, you're probably fine. Second, YOU ARE DROWNING THAT TATTOO. Use just enough ointment to keep it moist. Too little is better than too much. I'd wipe off all the lotion, wash it and let it breath for a day. Then tomorrow, just put on a tiny touch of lotion. You may want to try a cold pack on it a couple of times a day too.
  6. Ink is under the skin and it doesn't leak out so I'm not sure what you are worried about.

    Scarred?

There is always a chance, and yes it could be touched up. Iā€™d recommend an adult beverage or pharmaceutical of your choice and chilling out. Absolutely nothing you can do until it heals.

    Scarred?

No way to know until they heal.
  9. It looks like you are drowning that tattoo in lotion. You only need a small amount. Too much is worse than too little.
  10. No. You might reduce the chance by picking a good artist and avoiding tattoos on thin, delicate skin, but if you get enough tattoos, eventually youā€™ll have a blowout.
  11. American Traditional? Color.
  12. That pic is just too dark to tell. Maybe a good, well lighted pic would be helpful.
  13. Itā€™s alway good to be cautious, but I wouldnā€™t be too worried one week out. Best of luck.
  14. Yea, the problem is most people figure, well it's just script so anybody can do that. Then they get a shit tattoo and can't figure out why it looks so bad.
  15. That's why you do research BEFORE you get a tattoo. šŸ˜‰
  16. To me it looks like they used the wrong shade of colors and the wrong proportions. Also, they aren't very well saturated. I agree with trying to find someone who does American Traditional and coverups and try to get them fixed AFTER they heal.
  17. Reminds me of a time when my brother, his daughter and my father were in the living room and my brother said, "Show my daughter your back." I said I didn't think she wanted to see it, but she did so I whipped off my shirt and showed her my back piece (in my avatar). My father looked like a deer in headlight, like "this does not compute." He never said a word. I may have fried his brain.
  18. I exercise at home or a gym. I don't exercise the day after a tattoo, but start in the 2nd day after a tattoo. As for the sun, I would just keep it out of the sun. It won't kill you to stay out of the sun for a week. The sun isn't good for your skin under any circumstance, but I wouldn't subject freshly tattooed skin to it. My dogs are pretty mellow, but I keep them away from the tattoo for a week. I wouldn't want them rubbing against it or god forbid, licking it this early. I'm probably overly cautious about my tattoos, but it's one of the reasons they all look new after 13 years.
  19. It's really just semantics. What is it that you want to do? I'm usual pretty careful for a week, then cocoa butter and it's on its own. I wouldn't go into a gym with it uncovered, but I'd go into a gym if I covered it up 4 days out.
  20. Yea, asking an artist to cop someone else's style is a no, no.
  21. Unfortunately many people do their research AFTER they are unhappy with the results.
  22. 1) Listen to your artist. 2) Chill out. 3) Learn from your mistakes. You don't get a good tattoo from a shit artist. Good artists aren't cheap. I see way worse than that every day. I'm not even sure what is so horrible about the work. If I saw that on the street I wouldn't give it a second thought. If you can't get past this, don't get more tattoos. See #2 again. šŸ˜‰
