There's a good thread for upcoming art shows and exhibitions

quit drinking several years ago. What seemed hard at first is now just a way of life...and a great way of life, at that. Not boring, not humorless, as I once feared. Wishing you strength and peace.
Same here! I did have one drink in the last year but it was a very special occasion. It was feuerzangenbowle night and there was a group feeling of Gemütlichkeit.

Army town is gonna be exactly what you need, lots of skin time and a variety of fairly standard type of tattoos. I worked in street shops for a long time and it was a crucial thing for me. I still use every skill I learned walking the floor and handling people, both pleasant and difficult clients. Good deal man, applause.

I've attached two pictures of recent tattoo's that i'm in the midst of and would like to hear any constructive criticisms. Thanks all again for the inspiration and kind words.Imo the best place for a REAL critique would be a different forum; I recommend you check out Tattoodles forum. It has a large 'pros only' section that has threads for critiques, painting trades, networking, reference sites, classifieds, guest spot opportunities, etc etc.
It's not real easy to get on, be prepared to give all of your professional information and they will cross check your employment at a real shop.. This is a good thing so as to keep out the civilians and scratchers.
Critiques can be brutal there; keep your head high, stay strong, and listen to everything said without making explanations/rationalizations/excuses/defending etc. Just listen and absorb. It's definitely tougher love than here and maybe an asshole or two. Whatever.

Apprenticeship shows? Fucking ridiculous. How about one for the front desk? Or tattoo shop hanger-outers?
Why are we getting more exploited than others? Are there ice trucking/lumberjack spin-off shows strictly about dudes first week on the job? Apprenticeship biker build shows? I don't watch any of that shit so if I'm right and don't even know it that's pretty fucking sad.

Side note; if this were a show of 'tattoo models' meaning tattoos that are designed & composed well with the body itself regardless of age or body shape, that could have potential.
That won't be this show I'm sure. I can't imagine it will be anything but Americas Top Model That Happens To Be Tattooed.

i think i would need the "reward" of shading/color to survive all that lining.
Fuck. I'd be done with it at that point. "Thanks! I'll see ya next when I've managed to forget what I just went through!"

Yup! that's it. Cool spot rad chick excellent coffee.
Don't know about the Age video, I haven't watched it yet. Only watched a couple so far.

That's an excellent plan. Get to Carroll Gardens early and visit Dan's lady at her place around the corner. Cool little antique boutique/coffee spot right down the street from the tattoo shop.
I can't recall the name of her shop, any help here guys & gals?

I have a friend who for the past week has been crying on his FB about mean girls and the last one that dissed him and how she could've been great blah blah
Get over it and go meet some new women. Bitching about something that didn't go your way is just pissing into the wind.

Yeah I never have any problem getting out of LGA into the real world but JFK is truly BFE

For some reason I was thinking leaving the airport at 3:45, not plane landing at 3:45.
If you left right at this instant these would be several options.

If you don't want to live with tattoos then get them removed. If you like having your tattoos or are worried about what other people think then wear a long sleeve shirt.
You don't need a doctorate to figure that out.

Once again everything Slayer just said

At this shop you go to, are you required to leave a deposit to make an appt/start a drawing? Personally I don't nor have I ever worked at a place where I would do any artwork, outside of what was doodled during a consultation, until a client has left a deposit.

Depends on day & time. If you have a smartphone get an app called Hopstop.

Your timeline is confusing. You say you contacted him in late April. Then waited 2 weeks before showing up. Then waiting another week, and then basically another week after that, making a month like you just said.
But it's barely just now mid May. Just over 2 weeks from late April.

@Mike Panic I just had my first sitting at a nearby place that upgraded to a q-plus c machine in recent months, can you give a compare/contrast to other laser technology out there?
Also wanted to say that I've had other lightening treatments before at a different place but never was offered this 'cold air' treatment(cryo 6? I'm not gonna pretend to know much about the machines, just what their names are). It was 1/10th the pain level as previous sittings, and not that the previous technician was poorly trained; he was the guy to see for states around.

It's not uncommon. And I'm not saying wearing an apron for self-protection and avoiding mess is a bad thing. Just a point that some people wear one to complete a 'look', and isn't any more authentic than the person they are sneering at for the shirt they're wearing or whatever.
More than half of the people labeling other people as hipsters are also posting in a thread called 'how do you react to stares' talking about how strangers and family alike judge them by appearance.

If that's the case then we could say that all the beardsmith tatbros in buddy holly frames and aprons are hipsters as well, since pretending that it's 1932 wasn't a 'thing' until 10ish years ago or less.

I just can't get this one out of my head! The imagery is awesome.
Well it hasn't been done yet! Any takers are welcome.

What the fuck happened there?!?
That's not a panther cover up; that's a combo of a panther eating a black rose while wearing a black top hat with a thought bubble contains black flag bars with the whole thing surrounded by black clouds.
