The banker dude that opened up my gf's account told me that local bro Zack Spurlock is in the middle of a Miller High Life sleeve on him. I have no idea of what that entails, but my curiousity is provoked to say the least. I would've asked to see it if he wasn't at work.

People come in all the time asking me to just fill up their arm with backround (not in those words) "just a whole lotta smoke around this and fill up my arm with it" *pointing at tattoo the size of my palm*

this has been a quote i've used for many years, but more and more i see people that didnt really deserve a shitty tattoo, they were just too ignorant to know better with on their first tattoo. not ignorant in an insulting way, but more of a lack of knowledge way. I cant really hate on someone that didnt know better in the first place. just because a first-timer didnt go to 5 different shops doesnt mean they should wear a piece of shit. hell, some of the general public that DO go to different shops dont even know what to look for while browsing a portfolio. some people just see a bunch of pretty colors but none of the essentials and are fooled by smoke & mirrors.

excellent and important subject matter, and I have never seen anyone else touch on this before. kudos for bringing it to light. my gf thinks i'm going deaf because i'm getting old(?!), but i blame it 50% on the invention of the Walkman and 50% on holding a hot-rodded doorbell in my ear for countless hours. i believe any type of cardio is important whether it be lifting heavy things of karate kicks or whatever. marcus is right, it is incredibly easy to put on weight in what we do. personally i go for swimming, skating and recently have started running as well. -
haha yeah his list of work from different tattooers is impressive. soccerguy, if nothing else go into the shop to see the Leu bodysuit drawings he has up on the wall. get tattooed by him regardless of getting filler on the tattoo you posted.

I whole-heartedly endorse Dan @ Yankee Doodle Dandy if you are in Des Moines. Excellent tattooer with experience in the right places with the right people, and a real friendly guy to boot. He can take you in the right direction. I worked for him for a while, and had a good experience there myself. He also has some bad-ass work from Roper, Corbin, etc.

I'm pretty sure you're judging people and insulting them in the one or 2 posts out of 3 you made since joining this forum.. but maybe calling someone a fuckhead and calling someone a sleazeball because there's a playboy mag in the same shop that 10 other people work in isn't considered judging other people.

I think we were extremely civil in response. A mild rib-poke or ball-busting is to be expected on whatever forum someone is a member of, esp when someone does a faux pah. It's not like a personal attack or anything. I would expect the same if I said felinecat, regardless of how many posts or how long I've been here. Matt, in response to what you were looking for, It looks good so far & dont take anything here personal. Learn from a small mistake about where to post, laugh a little, and carry on. Welcome to LST.

A reasonable hourly rate doesnt mean poor tattooing. Wilson is 150 an hour.

getting clowned for seeking attention is less desirable than not getting the attention they wanted in the first place.
