I admit, I uploaded one of one I'm not happy with and know it's shit quality, but only to post in the tattoo removal subforum. I'd be more than happy to take it down though.

I agree %100. Most people tie a tattoo to some significant meaning (which some do have, that's cool too) But even most of my friends follow that thought, that it has to be meaningful. A friend asked me if my panther/skull meant anything..... Nope, they're just both badass

Since I lack creativity, I generally have a vague idea but it doesn't go much further than that. Like Iwar said, half the fun is seeing the stencil. Shit gets me excited. I got an appt at 4pm today and all I told her was skull with a headdress, do whatever else you want. It's gonna be like xmas day, opening presents.

Yea exactly. I think when people don't understand the meaning behind a tattoo, it works well for a conversation piece. I can't imagine that conversation going well over a swastika unless they were truly open-minded. I just wish random strangers would quit calling my poseidon tattoo "aw it's little mermaids dad!" -____-

Yea that fucking purple is a nuisance. Hard to cover, and just as likely, hard to remove. I'll probably just leave that arm alone until a proper decision can be made. Maybe by that age/sun will have done enough to make lasering a better choice.

Yea I think it'd be hard for me wear that even knowing it may hold a different meaning, the general public probably wouldn't care to find out that meaning. Kind of similar for me would be satanic images or something. As much as I like the imagery and everything, it's not something I want to have to explain. But that's just me

Lol, yea I lack the funds now anyway, but it'll probably look better with better tattoos near it. I get compliments on it and stuff, but after seeing this site and so many good artists putting out good work, i just wish I had saved that big space. Oh well. How big are the pieces you're lasering?

I'm leaning more towards that seeing as how it COULD be way worse... but could have been way better too.

Got this done when I was 18 and it's been a battle of it bugging me every day due to it's flaws. It was touched up when I got the inside done, but poseidons anatomy is off in certain places and some of the old purple was hard to rework, so it's obvious to me anyway. Would lasering it even help since its not exactly faded and got some heavy black? Or should I just get more well-done tattoos to distract the fact and just chalk it up to lesson learned?

I could stare at those legs for days...nohomo

Agreed, since I'm finishing up the radiography program at my school, but you gotta remember a hospital, sadly enough, is a business first. Shit sucks, but (old) patients are already terrified of being there. Fortunately, I've had nothing but good luck so far with tolerance. I'm going to tackle other non-visible body parts first though before doing forearms, as badly as I want to get them done :'[

Alright cool, the shin one is kind of squared due to a banner on the top and bottom and wraps around the bottom part of my ankle a bit, so it's hard to visualize other tattoos around it. It almost seems having a lot of space for tattoos makes it a challenge because I hate making decisions haha

I've got both shins done as of right now and have an appt on the 20th to add a new piece to my leg, the part I'm having trouble with is placement. I know I want it on the inside of my leg on the upper portion of my calf (it's not going to be too big). I guess my concern is having the rest of the tattoos on that leg look to evenly place and not random and it looking kind of dull. Is there a way to go about filling around a shin tattoo or if anyone else started out with a tattoo on your shin, how did you go about filling the rest of your lower leg?
