Just got tattoo #16 done last Saturday and finished up day 4 with using Saniderm today. I will say I personally that I found taking off the Saniderm was easier than the Tegaderm. Jan 3rd 2016!!! Upper left shoulder and my next one will be sometime over the next month or so.

I know this is a old thread but I had to add to it! (and I loved reading everyones responses) Mine would have to when I was around 4 in the late 70's and noticing my grandfathers tattoos he had a dagger & my grandmas initials and asking him a million questions about them lol His brother also had biker tattoos and that alone when I was a kid had me hooked & loving tattoos.

I always knew I was going to get tattoos & had a folder full of artwork since 6th grade! My mom would just laugh it off when I'd show her my ideas...well when I turned 18 back in 1993 I got my 1st tattoo on my lower back a little black panther lol she was just like why? why do you feel the need to deface yourself? and that it was going to look like crap when I got older,etc.......here I am at 42 15 tattoos later & she still is just like why?????? She doesn't hate tattoos she just doesn't see the point in them....she knows I'm getting ready to start working on my half sleeve soon so I'm sure I'll hear her commentary lol and don't get me started on my septum clicker according to her its disgusting & doesn't like me wearing it around her lol My dad could careless about either.

I should've added this to my post on here but I've also used Tattoo Goo in the little tin. This was years ago but I found it to be more moisturizing than Aquaphor or Lubriderm & I didn't have to apply it as much either plus the healing time was pretty quick while using it.....I'd use it again.

My last 2 tattoos were done on Jan 3 & Tegaderm was used wich I never experienced before....I will say that this stuff is awesome and I will never go back to the old school way lol definitely better healing wise just simply amazing. Plus it was nice to be able to continue on with normal everyday living the 3days I had it on and not worry. I got myself a roll of Saniderm for future tattoos.

I've always done the Dial,A&D ointment,Aquaphor & Lubriderm routine.

I'm loving this site!! I found while doing a search on the use of Tegaderm & tattoos....I just got tattoos #14 & #15 done on Sunday and my guy used Tegaderm wich I haven't had used on me after getting a tattoo...the thread on here helped a lot and I ended up ordering a roll of Saniderm for future use for me and my husband. Anyway quick info about me..I've been getting tattooed since I was 18 (back in 1993) and got work done here & there over the years I haven't gotten anything since 2007 wich was my oldest sons name and just recently added my younger sons name & a few more tattoos that I wanted over the years just never got. I'm definitely not one that gets just anything all mine have planned out......wich in the next few months I plan on getting started on my sleeve!! I'll be adding pics once I get more familiar with the site!!~Wendy
