  1. Welcome - post up your work when you have time.
  2. Welcome Ty - I'm a newbie too. I recommend taking a look through the Gallery. Some excellent work in there.
  3. In terms of the work people post - I am constantly blown away by well executed side of neck tattoos of roses and birds, traditional framed portraits, and high-quality japanese back pieces leave me with my chin on the floor.
  4. I would say that it is only within the last year that I have finally found myself, at the age of 38, in a job that I feel is the career I want to pursue. I don't think it is a coincidence that my desire to get full sleeve work is in response to that. I feel like I am old enough, ugly enough, and focussed enough to know that tattoos which will be occasionally visible to colleagues and 'customers' will lead people to make judgements but ultimately will not hurt my career. Much. Fascinating thread.
  5. I thought that was a wonderful end to the fourth season - although I am sad to see Gus go as he is such a great character. I think that in the final season (which is set to be 16 episodes) Walt will get cooking straight away. He might get help from Mike to distribute through Gus' network, or he may start afresh, or he may sell wholesale to someone else. Either way, there is a meth vacuum that needs to be filled. I love the way they have developed Hank's character - for me he is now the main man and ultimately this show is heading towards a Heisenberg/Hank showdown. Also, we haven't heard the last of Gus, in terms of the much alluded to connections and protection he has from Chile. That's going to come calling for Walt I reckon. I read the script for the first episode recently and it is amazing how different it is from the eventual pilot. It's set in California, Hank is a total racist, Walt is a compulsive masturbator.
  6. David - thanks for the welcome, and Cherry, it's not so much luck as extreme patience. Good things come to those that wait. Unless you're waiting for a horifically painful death.
  7. No visible tattoos, but you can bet the hipster who is too cool for shoes and socks has an ironic tattoo of a Raleigh Chopper on his shoulder.
  8. Hogg - If I was to get a Welsh themed tattoo it would have to be a Tom Jones/Shirley Bassey medley on my chest. Thanks Alanna and Slayer - I can't wait!!
  9. ChrisM - Many thanks. I too am a huge fan of the book and film, and Steiger is an inspired bit of casting. Henrik - I'm currently living on Anglesey, looking across at Snowdon. Very beautiful. Lochlan - Thank you for your welcome! I am living in deepest northern Wales, although I am actually a Londoner. I am getting work done by a not very well known female tattooer called Valerie Vargas at a little tattoo studio called Frith Street Tattoo. I am getting some tribal and a portrait of my dead dog (not really).
  10. Hello - I may be untattooed but I promise not to start lots of 'My First Tattoo!" threads and I will try not to ask stupid questions. I have my first tattoo date set for December. :)
