  1. I would like your post, but I want to savor this moment a little longer. Just know in your heart that I like it.
  2. I love the intro to that one: "He had an old Troop jacket on. The TR fell off, the jacket just said OOP."
  3. I like tattoos that look like tattoos. I don't like Peter Aurisch's stuff.
  4. Welcome to the forum, Jeremy. Thanks for introducing yourself!
  5. What an awesome photo! Congrats to you and Mrs. Gougetheeyes (she did take your name, right?).
  6. Bienvenue, Theophile! Thanks for joining and for posting your work. I love that ship.
  7. I'd suggest not covering that up, @WeRnDoG. Just my 2 cents. So the average session length was 7.5 hours? Damn, dude. Shige's a harsh taskmaster. Something tells me you had a few sessions that were even longer than that. What was the breakdown?
  8. Read that yesterday--great piece. I'd love to get something from him.
  9. Absolutely! I was fortunate enough to be photographed for it, so I was given a copy, but I can't overstate the magnitude of this book.
  10. I picked up my copy of Bloodwork: Bodies on Sunday. It's two volumes and weighs 27 pounds. It's also the nicest tattoo book I've ever seen. It features stunning photography of 119 backpieces and bodysuits by an absolutely ridiculous list of artists. If you are at all able to get your hands on a copy, you will not be disappointed.
  11. I have about 3 spots left for decent-sized tattoos. One is saved for a Rock of Ages. I hope mine will be as nice as yours, Kev. Thanks so much for posting it!
  12. Damn, @gougetheeyes, that's on you? Lucky dude!
  13. Excellent thread! I love, love, love Temple. I've been tattooed there by Freddy and Heath Preheim, and my wife has been tattooed there by Freddy, Heath and Jamie Ruth. We've also stopped by to see other friends get tattooed, or just to visit with Freddy when we're in the neighborhood. Those of you have been tattooed there know that things run on a slightly looser schedule, but it's all part of Temple's charm. Just sit back, soak up some great stories and enjoy your small place in tattoo history.

    Art thread.

@irezumi with the knowledge jewel! That entire post was incredible, but this coin was particularly facemelting:
  15. Whoa! That has progressed so much since I saw it last. It looks incredible! Matt's work is so dynamic and electric. I'd say that you were lucky to have that, but I know better. You're just smart enough to get great tattoos from talented artists.
  16. So true! I have about three big ones left--actually, I could probably fit five if I wanna jam 'em in behind my knees (oh, lord)--so I'll only have room for little ones soon enough. But those just make you want more and more, don't they?

    Damn! So nice.
  18. Oh, fuck it. DCostello posted that mob shit and it made me think of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AB9Eg_5mlko And that made me think of this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1RJmc-AYDbM And since we're talmbout Bay Area Macs, I have to mention the late great Thizzelle Washington, aka Mac Dre: I can't begin to tell you how big "Feelin' Myself" was in the Bay. It hit big right after Mac Dre died, and every--and I mean every--time that record dropped in the club, shit just popped off. Everybody lost it. It was beautiful.
  19. I'm from Texas, so I have to rep my hometown heroes, UGK: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-IS2js72WI When Pimp C pours salt on the cow? Come on! Unfuckwithable. And since I live in SF, I'll rep the Bay with Too $hort: I'll try to play nice in this thread, since I've DJed hip-hop (and Jamaican music) since the 90s and am very, very opinionated when it comes to the rapps. :)
