  1. I'd also like to add that JoJo Ackerman is an absolutely unbelievable tattooer.

    Hello there.

Nice intro--welcome! Are you a boxer? And do we get to see some of these "tattoos" you allude to?
  3. Ridin' dem swangas! I dig it.
  4. Very cool interview! Thanks for sharing.
  5. Amazing, indeed! At least she gave you $20 for your trouble (as well as a funny story to tell). I can only hope that her clients are as big a pain in the ass as she is.

    Hi

Also, you might wanna read this. Consider it a public service announcement of sorts: Is The Magic Gone? « Saltwatertattoo

    Hi

    Tell us more, Marcus.
  10. Huge thanks, @Dan S! I know that many LSTers will likely look at those images and shudder at the quality of the artwork--I'll admit that I'm not jonesin' to wear a lot of what's shown there--but I still love it and recognize that those folks really paved the way for people like me. It's funny to look at the relatively small scale of some of those tattoos as compared to the full backpieces/sleeves/suits people get left and right these days, but it's important to remember just how insane that stuff was at the time. And the ladies with face tattoos...my god, I can't even get my head around how nuts that must've been! And how funny is this? An old friend emailed me last night with a Wild Bill story. He's the guy with the full suit (largely by Ed Hardy) posing with two naked ladies in your third pic down. Thanks again.
  11. Green light from me! And we can head off the swazzi arguments easily with this one. if people don't understand that 1%ers were/are trying to shock and offend, well...there's not much to explain there. :)
  12. This post should've just been a clip of Hendrix singing, "Have you ever been to Electric Ladyland?" Still, I hope it all works out for you.
  13. Unlike, say, a heart with a banner? I'll just echo what many before me have said, which is that classic designs are classic for a reason. They've stood the test of time and work well as tattoos.
  14. All those designs are classics, and--most importantly--they all look like tattoos. You can't go wrong with any of them.
  15. Post of the month! And I could totally see Loch rockin' some tap shoes.
  16. Great thread. Seems like a good place to link to this one, too: http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/tattoo-101/1244-tattoos-workplace.html

    hola.

Welcome! San Diego has some great shops. We'd love to see your work.
  18. Posted on Tumblr today. Allegedly, this is Ben Corday's wife (and the "Corday" on her breast would seem to indicate that):
  19. To clarify: I'm totally serious about this and mean no disrespect. Sorry if it came across otherwise.
  20. Plus one for dragons on women. Bonus points for dragons on fat women.
  21. Welcome, Vijai! Always interesting to get an international perspective on tattooing.
  22. Welcome, and thanks for the nice intro!
