  3. A friend of mine got tattooed by Tiger John in Houston around 1989. He got a small portrait of James Brown on his shoulder blade. When John finished it, he said, "That's a damn good Little Richard, if I do say so myself." My buddy almost shit himself!

  6. I got nothing; the appointment fell through. But hopefully I'll be back in this Sunday or next. Update on my ankle: the swelling's been gone for a few days now and it feels fine. Still a bit scabby, but that's to be expected.

  11. They're supposed to improve grip and prevent elbow/shoulder pain. And yes, strengthen forearms. I have small hands, too. :)

  15. I just bought some Fat Gripz. Wow! They make a huge difference. I've been able to maintain the same weights on flat and incline bench, but they are a bitch on overhead press. I also tried curls for the first time in years. They are quite a different exercise with Fat Gripz. They're supposed to alleviate shoulder and elbow pain, which I hope turns out to be true.

  17. I've found that to be very helpful after particularly shitty workouts. Oh, sorry. I think you were asking if that's where I got Dan's "To Fifty" routine. It is not. It's in an e-book of his called "Mass Made Simple." Like most of Dan's writing, it's folksy, to the point, effective, and fun to read.
  18. Yep. I've done a "To Fifty" squat program by Dan John. I learned a lot about myself (and about nausea).

  20. You ain't never lied, my man! It's still a little sore this morning, but the swelling has finally gone down (some but not entirely). Just in time for me to get my knee tattooed this Sunday....
