I'm a big fan of Matt Bauer. Not exactly bluegrass, but he's from Kentucky and plays banjo, so he checks those boxes. His music is beautiful and a little haunting.
EDIT: For those that know what I look like, that is not me.
Welcome to LST! That's an unsurprisingly gorgeous tattoo from Gakkin. My wife and I visited Harizanmai when we were there 5 years ago. Everyone from Gotch to Gakkin to Mochiko, the shop gal, was so nice.
Battle Royale Royalty right there. How fucking cool is that?
Chris Brand just posted his own take on it. Like all of his work, it's in a league of its own:
@cltattooing I have a thing for mums, yet I still don't have one. I'm very particular about them, but I absolutely love the one you did. So freakin' nice!
Apology not accepted, @dcostello. Those are stellar.
So who hurt more: Scott or Freddy? I've been tattooed by both, but in different spots. You'll be the best judge. And I think I know how you'll answer.
THIS @dooktruck. Absolutely call both shops. You might be pleasantly surprised.

Damn, @Russ, those are incredible tattoos. And you are one tough son of a bitch.
Really cool that Thom got written up in the NY Times today: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/02/03/nyregion/for-restless-pioneer-of-modern-tattoo-art-a-life-beyond-ink.html?_r=0
Oh! Then go to Flying Panther or Power Tattoo and try to get something from Ben Grillo or Rob Benavides.
EDIT: Sorry, Power is in Vista, about 40 miles from Flying Panther.
