I'm ethnically Japanese. On behalf of my people, I give you a pass. Enjoy your tattoo :-)
Actually it's funny because as I understand and simplify it, there was one point in history when it was illegal for Japanese people to get tattoos. The only people that could get the old school japanese style tattoo work from Japanese tattooists without the Government freaking out were the foreigners. So if you want to get really old school about it, you're continuing tradition. Ha ha.
Have fun, get what you want, make yourself happy.

It's not as uncommon as you'd think- going back through the years there were a few tattooers with 'Professional Names'- guys like Spider Webb, Rusty Needles, Mr. Tramp. Specially the bikers, but not limited to.
Obviously it wasn't the rule but the exception.

Been listening to Pallbearer, pretty good funeral doom.

That was just what I heard from someone who got tattooed by him 13 plus years ago. Things do change. And I totally agree, he's worth it. And luckily I'll probably have 6 months to a year to start putting money away (if not longer). Thanks for all the sound advice.

they/we mostly like to talk about cost before plans are made. Pretty much the same as anything you buy. If you can't afford it, you don't buy it. Easy.

@CultExiter (and everyone, I suppose) Just call the shop and ask how much your tattoo will cost. Speculation of cost, with strangers, on the Internet doesn't help anyone.
If you don't think the cost is worth it, get tattooed by someone cheaper.
Also, I've been working right next to Chris, watching him work and speaking to his clients. None of them said he was heavy handed.
Regardless of cost, pain and speed. You will get a great tattoo from O'Donnell though. Enjoy.
I'll say this again: price is dictated by demand. If something is in high demand, it will probably cost more than something readily available.

On the topic of tattooers in good bands:
jondix has a doom band...........Tas is in Electric Wizard, Thomas Hooper had a pretty cool band (rainy day fuck parade).
Jef Whitehead is so damn talented but from an outsider looking in he seems to be his own worst enemy.

I was 19, and I got the Rocket From The Crypt logo on the inside of my arm. I thought I was so punk.
Luckily, it was done really well and has since been filled in with color.
Now it's my little red rocket.
Crudeness intended.
11 years later I still dig it.

Just heard from O'Donnell's assistant. She was asking the what and where. Hopefully he is into my idea and would want to do it.

Im less than no one in the tattoo world and even less in the celebrity world. Yet going to saved a bunch of the past year or 2 plus and having good talks with Chris made it pretty easy to get an appointment. I did get in right before the new cut off, but still....nothing beats going to a shop and having interaction with the artists and getting along.
