    Chris banged out all of the main outline on the bottom half of my sleeve. Under 2 hrs and it looks great. He may post a pic, ill try to get a shitty cell phone pic up if not. Oni head, snake, maple leaves...simple and bold. Stoked.

    Same idea....same time frame. I want to buy a house and have a kid around 35 so Id like to get most of it done but leave areas to work on my body cause I still love getting tattooed. I figured we were around the same age.

    So stocked....next 2-3 years are going to be tattoo heavy for my wife and I. I dont get down to NYC a ton but I try to save and pack in the appointments.

    Personally I dont see a lot of Robert Ryan misses and recently ive been seeing him called "hit or miss". His style may not be for everyone but I look at this blog and see great, interesting and distinct traditional tattoos. I cant wait to get mine done (once my big work settles down).

    God I remember being a young metal head in the 90ds and thinking all I wanted was Paul Booth tattoos....so fucking glad I was broke! I dont hate them but 30 year old me does not want them on my body.

    Still waiting to find time to go to chicago, he recently posted a fenris swallowing the sun that was tight. Too much good work going on in Chicago...I gotta visit and get tattooed.

    Ohh Dan....we know your old school, im sure you can take some ball busting. irezumi is a great contributor to this forum/site so relax lets not push away the people here who make this place interesting as it keeps thinning out more and more and we keep getting "tell me what tattoo to get,tattooer to get it by and city to get it ins posts"(not from you, dont worry). That said, I like your posts and your loyalty and history you bring as a long time tattoo "collector" for lack of a better word. No need to have a chip on your shoulder.

    Depends on the tattoo....my front I told him what I wanted and after the outline was done we kinda just brainstormed on the shading and the designs.... Usually his ideas are the best. He likes direction but also comes up with pretty cool ideas.

    My wife and I have been thinking about getting some classic tattoos and one is a rock of ages. Im getting this book for more research and fine tune what I exactly want in my R.O.A. Excited about this, thank you for the heads up.
