I registered months ago and have been a regular lurker, and I'm tired of my home page telling me to introduce myself. So here I am. My name is Chelsea and I currently have the misfortune of being a resident of New Jersey. I'm a few months away from completing my second apprenticeship (which I feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to do - but I can't wait to be done with apprenticeships!). I have been participating in tattoo forums for years and was excited to find one with such thoughtful discussions between such intelligent enthusiasts and talented tattooers who I have been looking up to for years. So, naturally, I find this all rather intimidating and fear saying something stupid so I lurk. Haha. Thanks for this great forum :)

I would like laser hair, but only if I was immune to its effects. Laser tattoo removal would be cool too, I have crap on me that I would love to turn into easier coverups. But yeah, the scenario in the op is pretty ridiculous. On a related note, what have you done trades for in the past, or what would you be willing to do trades for? Edit- part of my question was answered while I was typing this haha. Oops.

Sometimes this is effective without being impolite: say the tattoo is a terrible phoenix or something - say "oh cool, I like phoenixes. I saw an incredible one the other day done by [insert awesome artist here], since you like phoenixes you should check it out!" but, you know, less lame sounding.

Those tattoos just scream "hipster" to me. :\
