I didn't have a problem putting lotion ony my back piece because I didn't put a single drop on at all. I juat washed it in the shower like normal and let my body do it's thing. Still one of the best healed tattoos I've ever had.

I spotted @asradin in the mix , and also what to my untrained eye looked to be a Scott Sylvia machine .

Yep I was in it a few times, even a shot of my stupid face with a grin...

Family relationships. Sigh. I have an incredible mother and father who I do not see nearly enough. But when I do, it is almost always the same thing: "What is that?," "When did you get that?," and more importantly, "Will you please stop getting tattoos?"

I'm 30 years old. I put myself through college. But when it comes to tattoos, my folks treat me like I'm 16-years-old.

Sigh.

I know what you mean. My parents were very anti tattoo but once they saw that getting them hasn't affected my academic or work life in any way, they seem to be less against them. They still don't like me getting them but they don't treat me like a child about them anymore :) Although they onyl found out about my torso and back being completely covered 6 months ago. That was an interesting day....

My personal choice has been to get the rest of my body covered before I move onto my lower arms and hands. It's partly down to wanting to be able to go into any job and partly because I like being able to wear a shirt and having no one know that I'm tattooed. I'm 25 and have my entire torso, back and upper arms covered as well as my feet and some hand sized tattoos on my lower legs. I've still got plenty of time to get what I want and the fewer questions I get asked about my tattoos the better. If it means waiting until I'm 50 before I go onto my lower arms then so be it. My advice would be to get other parts of your body tattooed before your lower arms and save the easy spots like forearms until last :)

I'm hopefully going to be going on the Sunday, not got anything booked as I'm away until the Saturday but might walk round and see if I can get a walk up if anyone has free time. If I manage to go it will be my first convention as well

Can't wait for it and it will arrive in time for my flights to Bordeaux so it will give me something to distract myself with :)

Mine don't ever really raise in the weather. The only time mine become raised are when my thai boxing instructor hits us as hard as he can on the stomach with a pad. The ones on my stomach/ribs become raised for about 10 minutes after that and become really sensitive

Cool, see the frith street twitter today with regards to Steve Boltz, was tempted myself but spent far too much on tattoos this month.

I think I've probably spent far too much this month as well. But luckily he is coming next month :D lol I managed to put some money aside to get tattooed by him incase something like him coming over for a shrot period ever happened again when I missed him the last time around

@Reyeslv That's what I was thinking of doing. I'm pretty much happy to get whatever, I'll show him the gaps I've got and then let him do his thing.

I'm just stoked that I managed to get one of his spaces whilst he's at Frith Street. Means my plans have been brought forward by about a year :D

Booked in with Steve Boltz in just over a month. Can't wait. Trying to decide between a Rock of Ages and Pharaohs Horses or just something random on the day. Whatever I get I'm sure it's going to be incredible :D

Haha I live about 200 miles away from the shop but I guess that's a lot less than you. Still can't believe how lucky I am to have that much talent within a few hours of my house

You had a full year so far as well. Oh yeah, you got the panther/tiger back piece, right? That thing is very pleasing on the eyes! Have you been hitting these guys up whilst they are doing guest spots at FST?

Yeah that's me :) and thanks, it's pretty much fully healed now and starting to look settled which is good. Yep I don't think I've been tattooed anywhere but at Frith Street for the past 3 years. It's only a 3-4 hour journey away so it's not that far to go. Plus I can do it all on public transport which makes everything a lot easier.

Nice, well my back is finished and I got a lady head from Todd Noble, I haven't booked in for my ribs yet but will be doing so in June. I think I'm going to put the bay area convention on hold for a while as I ended up getting tattooed by Brad Fink and Chad Koeplinger whilst finishing my backpiece and also on a whim booked in with Frank Carter to do my right foot since he did the left one a year or so ago. I'm hopefully booking in with Chad to do one of my knees as well later in the year but it depends on how much I can save between now and then...

Yep, when I was having my sternum done I got sung the sternum song. Made it a breeze....

@Scott R thanks. I doubt I'll ever go topless anywhere. I'm far too paranoid about anything bad happening to my tattoos to walk around topless although maybe if I get drunk enough...

@smiling.politely haha yeah definatly. Frank is a great guy to get tattooed by. I'll be getting a red Indian chieftan on my foot when I see him

Thanks everyone. It's funny because Stewart pointed out to me that I've spent more time travelling to and fro sessions for my backpiece than I actually spent getting it tattooed. Totally worth it though and I can't stop smiling. Next up is my other foot being done by Frank Carter to match the other one he did :)

A skull on the other ass cheek was suggested and I think it might be something I will go for once I've finished my ribs. I'll just have to wait and see. Can't thank @Stewart Robson enough for this :D

I'm stoked. By far my favourite tattoo and incredible that it was done in 15 hours. I now have the fun of healing two leg tattoos and my back at the same time. I'm a very happy man :D

FUCK! I just found out Mike Wilson broke his arm this weekend so that means def not getting my back finished next month! It does however mean maybe I can go get tattooed by someone else in the meantime....

That sucks ass! But getting tattooed by someone else is always a good idea. I'm getting my back finished today but because Stewart couldn't make the previous session it meant I wound up getting tattooed by Brad Fink and Chad Koeplinger on the same day so it turned out great.
