  1. Haha love it! Think I might have to steal that. How's your back healing? I think I'm getting out lucky. If it gets finished in the next session I will have had a total of 15 hours on my back, which is less than what you had in those 3 days lol
  2. I'm hopefully getting mine finished in just under two weeks. Means I'll be healing tattoos from Chad Koeplinger and Brad Fink on my legs whilst celebrating my back being finished by booking in to get my ribs done :P
  3. I think I just managed to get one. Just ordered mine now and there wasn't a sold out sign so I've got my fingers crossed. Can't wait to read it :)
  4. @DRABFURS I just had my trousers and underwear pulled down. No one seemed to mind, and Stewart was kind enough to tape a piece of paper towel to my front so I had a kinda loin cloth thing going on
  5. I didn't wear any special underwear when I got my ass tattooed. Just made sure they were clean and that I'd showered before hand :)
  6. I don't think I've ever had an almost painless tattoo but Todd Noble I found fairly light as well as Valerie Vargas. Although both tattoos were in easy spots (the side of my left calf and my upper left arm respectively) which may have made a difference. But like you've both said, if someone is heavy handed it doesn't bother me. I want a good tattoo and that means sitting no matter what's going on
  7. I'll be hopefully posting my finished back piece in here come next week. I didn't want to put another in progress shot up
  8. It was Jordan. He's a nice guy although I've never been tattooed by him. I think he is on instagram as @jordanfst
  9. Not trying to be funny but surely if they were never intended to be in the public eye, then why was she either giving them away or selling single sheets? It doesn't make sense to me. Again not trying to cause an argument, I was just wondering was all...
  10. @Cork I'm 9 hours in so far and I've got another 9 hours booked. Stewart thinks we should be finished by then, so overall it's going to be 18 hours for mine. But I don't think that's the norm. I'm getting one session a month roughly which is due to money constraints which has kept the progress ticking along nicely
  11. @gougetheeyes Cool, I don't think my tattoo was as symbolic but it made the power cut they had when I went to Frith Street in December seem less annoying since it enabled me to book in to get the tattoo. It's also extremely weird to only have a small piece of skin healing instead of the usual half of my back or whatever large piece I'm in the middle of.
  12. Sorry @dcostello but I got this from Todd Noble yesterday whilst he was guesting at Frith Street. Didn't know what I was getting before I turned up, but he showed me the drawing and we got to it 5 minutes later. Instagram Awesome guy and a pleasure to get tattooed by him
  13. @Scott R Yeah I know. To say I'm blown away in an understatment. Can't believe how much ground he's covered in such a short space of time :)
  14. Thought I might as well put this in here as well. Not too long until this bad boy is finished Instagram
  15. Had another session on my back yesterday which means all the black is now done. 9 hours in and it's looking awesome in my opinon. Can't believe how quick it's gone. Instagram
  16. @gougetheeyes That's an awesome back piece and a really cool blog. Although I don't agree with his theory on sleep deprevation. The session I hadn't slept for 30 hours before was not fun, but the following session where I got a lot of black shading done was a breeze. I think it was largely due to the decent amount of sleep I got before hand. Also I was worried about healing my back piece but I've so far found it simple enough. I've managed to wash every area of my back on my own and I don't put any cream on anything on it and it's looking good so far. Next session is 13th January. Can't wait...
  17. According to "Stoney" St Claire they were meant to help a sailors swim/propel them through the water if they ever went over board
  18. I take the wrap off once I get home. Wash the tattoo with hot water and soap until it stops weeping and then I wash it twice a day after that. I don't put anything on it at all. My tattoos all look as bright and colourful as the day I got them. Although my oldest is only just under 4 years old
  19. I'll be finishing my tiger and panther backpiece with Stewart Robson and then getting him to do my ribs. Also getting something from Todd Noble on my left leg and I'll be hopefully heading to the bay area convention this year. I've decided my legs are going to be lots of small tattoos as my torso is pretty much filled with big pieces (apart from my ribs which will be getting sorted asap)
  20. If only I hadn't started my tiger and panther back piece already....
  21. I normally just go in with either and idea or small piece of reference and then let the artists do what they want with it. Most of my work is done by the same artist so we're pretty much always on the same page (I hope) and I'm always happy for him to try out new ideas. There are only a few things I won't get tattooed on me but most of the time my reaction to a tattooers' idea is "Yeah sure." Even if it means coming out with roses twice the size I though I was getting :D
  22. @jade1955 yeah but I managed to book in with Todd Noble so it wasn't a complete waste. Loving that whole back though. Need to get me some sailor jerry flash before I run out of room lol
  23. I see you went with Stewart's suggestion then ;) I was meant to have a session on my back piece yesterday but got cancelled due to the power cut :(
  24. I don't do anything else other then work and get tattooed, oh I piss people off as well but that doesn't cost a thing :P
