haha, yep. got there at noon, sold my machines, split at about 5:30. it was good to see some old friends and i like the new location of the show (even though the room was pretty fucking huge.) my daughters 9th birthday was yesterday so it was all business for me.....sorry i missed you.

of course, but i think some should have alittle (no, alot) more self respect. but then again, that is my opinion and intended only for myself.

.....and just cruise facebook for 10 minutes. holy shit people will post and show off tattoos and paintings they've done that aren't as good as my 8 year old's sketches....... i mean its like a comedy act.

dan's pretty right on with his analysis. every tattooer wants to be the traveling cool guy and loves the attention they get from the people blowing him at a convention or "guest spot". i remember when someone coming to do a "guest spot" at a shop meant a good ass tattooer was coming to work. now its whoever is willing to come by to sit and rape the town with 9 round outlines and dogshit ethics to make a buck. when we have had a "guest artist" at my shop, we have a good tattooer doing custom work on people from all around (scott sylvia, rassier, lehi, stell, hori taku, Higgs, whitehead, etc...... those are "guest artists". when i need someone to sit in on a shift, that aint a "guest artist", thats a working tattooer. and the idea of working at a shop whenever the hell you want and traveling whenever you want is mind boggling. i mean i guess its fun to do the same 5 or 6 tattoos in every city you travel to but dong the same shit everyday doesn't make you a great tattooer. how about paying some dues and actually doing what all those good tattooers have done instead of sucking each other off and riding each others dicks. but hey, to each his own. right?

Jef is painting alot more now and flying east to work at the upcoming richmond (virginia) tattoo convention in november. his tattoos are looking really clean and that Deno tattoo is proof of it. that thing is slick, and he did it at my shop in DC. i have a bunch of Jef tattoos but not anything thats been done in the last 10+ years.

took my son (6yrs) and daughter (8yrs) fishing on a pond this weekend at my in laws. they both caught sunnies using an old school bobber and live worms. it fucking ruled. my daughter even learned to cast completely on her own and was getting it out about 30 feet. what a good time. fishing is my yoga.

no. your on target. IMO, you can add anything overly whipshaded, anything bike related, owls, umbrellas, and the like.

decent article except for 2 things. #1, Bill Funk is a pile of shit. and #2, most of the "artists" at the last DC convention weren't even $2 cheeseburgers. more like 20 cent beef jerky.

my first "job" in a tattoo shop was in 1993 making 300+ needles a week, cleaning the shop, and scrubing tubes. i was never allowed to touch a tattoo machine so i pierced on the side. i thought it was awesome.

i'd rather sit 3 hours on my ribs than 30 minutes on my palm. i got my second palm done yesterday with Lehi, scott did the other. what a nightmare, i can't believe i waited till after i got sober to do this one. the fucker is still on fire. haha.
