  1. AHHH FORGOT ABOUT THE PITS. 0 desire to tattoo my armpits.
  2. FIRST OFF, thank you for resurrecting SQUID PANTS/SLACKS. Echoing, here, it's totally normal, especially the longer healing process. I freaked out the other month when I had my other wrist tattooed -- hand swelled up like a goddamn softball and then figured out it was totally normal! Didn't expect that. Always forget that it's your body's response to TRAUMA -- then when I remember, it all makes sense.
  3. My boss has a neverending supply of Ed Hardy/Christian Audigier shirts. He also drives his "lambo" (lamborghini) to and from work each day. He also has no tattoos, but "has designed some" for friends. He also doesn't know anything about the actual Ed Hardy. At first, I thought, "Oh, maybe not a douchebag indicat––– oh.. yeah. Yeah, it is. Always. Without fail."
  4. Watched this pretty recently! Not the best "production value" but pretty informative and I've recommended it to many. Even better, the guy who runs Dogfish Head, huge jock meathead type -- but also apparently a BEER GENIUS and totally hilarious. Has me spending a couple extra bucks on better beers and thinking twice about picking up a sixer of any Anheuser Busch brand, which is tough to avoid.
  5. I'd say if you're having trouble going with your gut, Mel's advice is pretty solid.
  6. No face, no weiner, no bottoms of feet. Or probably even not the tops of my feet.
  7. I feel like this is a trick.. Also dude, I think Neosporin is the last thing you should be putting on tattoos! The tiny ones I have on my fingers were excruciating, I'd imagine the palm is as close to unbearable as it gets.
  8. I full support all your future dog-in-costume blog posts. Congrats though dude!
  9. Nope, I think that pretty much sums everything up across multiple threads in a very succinct, respectful, helpful and constructive way. I was also thinking about this today when I was out, and while I did say "fuck em, don't say anything," I do think if you have a close friend or some sort of "fellow embroidery colleague" with whom you get along really well and establish some kind of awesome working relationship with, then it's only natural to want to share and learn, on both ends. But that's not really advice or anything, just something that'd obviously grow out of it.. Also, CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT PAINTS YOU USE AND THE BRUSHES FOR PAINTING ON YOUR SEWINGS AND WHO I COULD MAYBE REFERENCE FOR SKULLZ AND ANKURZ, LIKE MAYBE THIS ED HARDY HAT I HAVE K THX LOL!
  10. I'm just surprised that this many people really have an interest in being part of another social networking site. (Full disclosure, I had to google Google+ yesterday.)
  11. Man, lots of great ones lately! Have another quick session on my right leg I'll have to post when it's done in a couple wks.
  12. Fuck em, don't tell em anything. I wouldn't expect any tattooer to explain to me their technique for lines, shading, etc. Especially if they're asking you on your facebook. Craft a tactfully-worded generic response you can send out that politely says, "Thank you for your interest, but I am not at liberty to divulge the way in which I create these pieces. Now get off the internet and go outside," or something.
  13. That's true, actually.. I'm sure the legal documents alone are fucking daunting though.
  14. Clutch! The internet radio at my work is playing some terrible rave sounding music but I've been listening to the new Gillian Welch album this week. Recently introduced to her music. Good, old timey, pretty stuff, especially when you're getting your shin/ankle tattooed!
  15. Tattoos by Lisa's "Student Tats" page: Tattoo Learning Center Tattoo School Student Tattoos Holy shit there are some gems in there!
  16. Hey, this is a really great, positive thread! Keep it up!
  17. When ignoring it doesn't work.. OR just start a show about making and running a tv network.
  18. HA! They already deleted it! Ok, I'm going into shakey movie theater mode, I need to do some work today..
  19. Don't forget to like TLC's fb and leave them a friendly message.
