  1. Oh man, totally remember this dude from.. maybe 5 or six years ago? Jesus.
  2. On the train yesterday, this lady points at my arm and goes, "Why'd you put a deer there? It looks so weird!" I said, "Well, kind of a mish-mash," and shrugged it off. Then she says, "Well, it just seems.. you have this background, and then it's like, stuck over it." And I said, "Yep, I planned it out pretty poorly and then we did a background to try and tie it in. I wish I had a better explanation for you lady." I don't know if she was trying to hit on me, but she kept looking at me when people piled in and it got crowded. I have yet to really be mean about it, and I don't think she even thought about what she was saying.. The best is when you hear some person talk about you, like what happened a couple days ago, this guy to his girlfriend, well within earshot, goes, "See! Like that, man, I wanna get all tatted up, you know? Damn.." Long sleeves in August is just too hard.
  3. Also, goddamn. Jade wins in the Tough Guy category.
  4. ...yeah. BUT there's usually some pretty good stories/pretty incredible (bad) results! I, unfortunately, in all my teenage angst, could never bring myself to do it. My "girlfriend" when I was 13 though, did decide to carve my initials into her ankle and manage to get most of it in there with pen ink. She was a little off. SEE?! Stories!
  5. Stewart, thanks for that. This is the kind of stuff I do feel privileged to know, to be able to connect the dots. And the kind of connections I bet others will be talking about over the next 50, 100 years.
  6. Normally I'd say yes, but it does look like they're pretty adamant about not booking over the phone. Keep trying I guess dude. Maybe someone here has worked there or knows Shawn/Kim?
  7. Calling or emailing? I would call the shit outta the shop, emails can fall through the cracks pretty easily.
  8. Any old pulp/detective/crime paperbacks? Any Mickey Spillane? Also into old religious/art books of any kind.
  9. Plug for Sid's in Santa Ana, not sure how much time you've got to drive around. Always wanted to get tattooed by him.
  10. It's kind of like my thoughts on white guys with dreds talking about jah.
  11. That last one was INCREDIBLE. I almost feel guilty for enjoying this nonsense so much.. Then I found this, for all you grammar nuts out there: The Best Obnoxious Responses To Misspellings On Facebook | Happy Place
  12. Avery, noticed through the internets that your buddy Matt is over at Three Kings now (I mean c'mon, who isnt'?!) though haven't stopped by to say hello. I tend to be terrible at these types of things.
  13. Dude I know has the Camel logo on his big toe, he thinks it's the funniest goddamn thing in the world.
  14. I love that movie but(t) I will say, that if somebody would combine the first scene with the last scene, I might love it more. Fin. And maybe one scene in the middle.
  15. I say do it, I'm pretty interested in the end result. Also, looks like they have their own whiskey that they're aging in "handmade, small American oak barrels." So I'm guessing that's what you got. They're based in WA, kind of interested to try this stuff. Here's their ABOUT PAGE.
  16. It almost seems too nice and pleasant at this point! But I think it's getting things going in the right direction.
  17. HA! What do they give you, just un-aged whiskey/moonshine?
  18. Yes! Have a couple "tattoos with tattoos" I have in mind, can't wait to get 'em. Those are all great examples!
  19. A friend bought me a bottle of Yamakazi, really different. Pretty sweet and almost floral. Though it's hard to pay attention when I keep saying in between sips, "For a relaxing time.."
