    @Duffa, so much pissing going on in Australia.. Back to the topic, getting tattooed Sunday and definitely bringing a small gift. The first session, I brought him some fruit from the farmer's market and he was super stoked.

    Got this little one a few years ago, right after I got laid off since I figured it'd be a while before I could get something more sizable. From the Valentine's Day Friday the 13th flash set at Three Kings. Three 3 of hearts, two 2 of hearts = 13. Nice dude Mohawk John put it on.

    Ever been a waiter? You should resent that establishments pay waiters and bartenders next to nothing, instead of being a stickler on an extra few bucks. The serving jobs I had, each place paid about $3 an hour, so we'd make anywhere from $6 a day if we got cut early or about $24 for a full day's work. This is why so many waiters work doubles. And why so many get to be miserable by 10 or 11 at night. As for bartenders, most make a "shift pay" that averages about $20. That's $20 per shift. That's it. If it's slow, and no one comes in, they don't make anything else. This doesn't excuse a waiter or bartender being a prick, but the "customary amount" has probably gone up just to keep up with the cost of living.

    Yeah, it's all ridiculous. I got called a hipster for the first time yesterday. I was wearing Levi's 501s, a white t-shirt, and boots, so I just kind of laughed. I bet that term will die off soon enough, since apparently it means wildly different things.

    At this point, I'd rather people get those types of tattoos. Color wheels, straight lines, bullshit fonts, quirky doodles. Though I certainly don't envy the tattooers that actually have to put them on..
