  1. @Lochlan, any Mediums yet?! Or, better yet, white t-shirts?
  2. Nice! Decided not to try to book an appt. this trip but will definitely stop in at some point.. maybe try for a little zapper. Definitely a t-shirt hahaha
  3. Sounds like you'll be in good company! Where you living these days?
  4. I am back and should have my schedule sorted out by Tuesday. But don't let that stop you!
  5. Thanks for the heads up. I let a few friends know and they've got stuff popping up on there, too.. shitbags.
  6. Maybe do a sliver of research about Elvis before you decide to have opinions on him. I remember when I was in high school, too.
  7. Ok, @Brian Wermund, it seems silly to send you the link to the newbie guidelines since I'd be willing to bet you crafted this thread to specifically skirt all the rules about posting. But here it is: Last Sparrow Tattoo - Newbie Guidelines Not sure if you've received any PMs from the other mods on here but I'd expect one sooner rather than later. LST is a place to learn and it is a place to ask questions. It is not a place to post (not so) thinly veiled attempts to pat yourself on the back for tattooing out of your house and getting thrown out of a shop and pretending to be butthurt when strangers on the internet tell you you're wrong. I'm sure the experience won't change a thing. Anyway, I know stirring shit up online is fun in between appointments at the kitchen table, but maybe instead you can use that time to get your hands on some books and magazines or even take a look around the site. Through a little research you might notice that most people who were relegated to tattooing at home were either 15 or shortly thereafter were able to land a proper apprenticeship where they said, "Holy shit, thank god I'm on the right track." I've wasted way too much time on this response. And probably been way too nice. Just do us all a favor and stop trolling for a reaction. - - - Updated - - - Also, go get tattooed. At a shop.
  8. What's up Jaboc, where you working?
  9. Seems like it's a lot of things. Validation, attention, but mostly lack of understanding. There will always be a never ending amount of folks that will get a few tattoos and have them be all they ever get; they won't be "in it" because they have a different relationship with tattoos. And they don't want to be covered and they don't get all wild-eyed and nerdy when someone mentions other tattooers or a rare book or whatever gives the average LSTer a halfie. So when people show off a little under the cover of asking "what to do," all you can do is either ignore it or give em a quick and succinct answer. "Looks good pal, keep it up," or "Best to go talk to whoever tattooed you, since they'll have a much bigger reference library than your google search," or just ignore it completely. Not worth gettin all worked up over <--..constantly trying to practice what I preach. (Also, when I started getting tattooed at 18, I'm sure I made all kinds of obnoxious rookie missteps -- like, getting the tattoos in the places I did -- so you can't be too frustrated. Hard though when it's every day with the same nonsense, so I share the frustration.)
  10. BUMMER. We'll make it happen though dude. I'll post somethin when I'm back and when I know my new schedule!
  11. It'll translate great. Don't worry about looking for pictures of a chain, the only one you'll need to worry about is the one your tattooer draws up for you. I promise.
  12. Leaving Friday for a week vacation. I thought it was agreed that we were all gonna have to go to SF for a meetup. :D
  13. DUDE! That was you?! Killer. And I'm sure everyone has already seen this hahahaha
  14. @ross nagle saw this on your instagram! We'll see how things are shaping up in August, you just may hear from me. Safe travels my ancestral brethren.
  15. Oh, I think he's still around.. mark my words.
  16. @stormface, I always get just a little bit jealous when I hear someone's a total pinky.. If I knew then what I know now, etc. But you're a great spot to learn and see what's out there. You're in a great city for it!
  17. Sounds like you got a good thing going! And it's nice, when you can, to make your family a part of it. Saw the new rib tattoo, pretty fun design! Looking forward to seeing your left arm all tied together.
  18. I bet so. I wonder if @Lochlan has any insight/experience with that.
  19. Welcome! Where in NJ are you working?
  20. HAHA exactly! I'll do my best to stay positive when I'm not cranky. Thanks again everyone for trusting me, though I must admit, I still haven't figured out all the buttons. You know.. on the keyboard of this.. machine.
  21. You know what happens when you assume? You make an ass out of all the Bubbleberries..
