What's up man! Ahh.. to be 18 again and fresh off my first tattoo. Read up here and hopefully you'll make better tattoo choices than a lot of us did at 18!

Well, now I've forgotten who said Tomas, but: Tomas Garcia. And it's all @jayessebee 's fault. I'm all over that dude's instagram, love his tattoos. Next time I'm in CA or when he rolls through on his FBI/UFO site tour (guest spots) I would definitely get tattooed by him. Seems like a cool dude, too.

No need to wash it multiple times a day. If you're treating it like a wound, just leave it alone dude. The more you fuck with it, the more fucked up it'll get. Do you have pictures?

C'mon @else I bet you know what you like and what you don't like if you think about it. Start poking around on here and checking out tattooers' books and you'll begin to form opinions. Whether it's, "Oh man, this panther is awesome -- ooh, maybe I'll get Jon Q Tattooer to do a sweet panther head on me!" or if it's "Panthers are dumb, I want a scientific diagram of a cat," your ideas will start to take shape. Look at what each tattooer you want to visit puts out, what they do well or what they like doing. Or even ask 'em if there's something they're dying to do.. You'll get it, don't stress out.

@babs welcome! Sounds like you've had a pretty tough go of it but it also sounds like your new tattoo has worked out perfectly. Really happy you've found LST and hope you'll find it a great resource.

Sounds like you got some infected spots for whatever reason. If it's still hurting/seeping goo, you can slather some bacitracin on it and wrap it back up with saran wrap for a day or so. I've had one instance of infection (100% my fault..) and that did the trick. Your tattooer will most likely have to go over those spots once they've healed. What'd you get? Got a picture? - - - Updated - - - Also, for your healing routine, everyone's different, but I've found a lot of folks who incessantly wash and dry and lotion and wash and dry and lotion tend to have problems. All that constant care is just going to irritate it. In the future, the more you leave it alone, the better it will -- most likely -- heal.

Got tattooed by Scott today but got a lousy picture. I'll wait til it's healed and get the lady to take a photo. Good, good times.
