  1. I really would like to see a collective effort on LST to start promoting SQUIDS/SQUIDDLING. Anyway, Tats and tat-guns remain the worst in my book.. I don't know what's worse though, getting asked about "my tats" from folks with no visible tattoos or folks who are covered. I almost like LEG SLEEVE simply because it sounds like a euphemism for some kind of weird, cozy, leg love.
  2. Just check the bathroom wall dude, I'm sure she's listed.
  3. I'm not sure if coffee/breakfast carts exist as prevalently in other areas as they do in NY, but I've grown accustomed to them and simply wanted to voice my support for these guys. A lot of building owners and BIDs (Business Improvement Districts) hate them, basically because they don't have to pay anyone. Same goes for the pretzel guys, halal food, etc.. I used to work for a BID and when I found out how much they detested the guys, I really enjoyed spending a dollar or two most mornings. I only remark on it now, because I recently switched jobs and am not anywhere near my old cart guy. He was the nicest dude and I always made a point to tip him. Now, I am faced with blocks of new carts, none of which feel right. The one I've "chosen" now is simply because there are the fewest people in line, though I have found a cart manned by a team (unheard of), who seem pretty jolly, but it's in a busy spot. Which is a downside. My current dude is pretty surly and seems to disappear a lot. Maybe he's got irritable bowel syndrome. Now, what I have discovered with the new job, is that I'm close to the old deli I used to frequent at a different old job for coffee. This throws a wrench in my overall plans but is generally exciting. The coffee here is better. And my old MS-13 buddy works there. Not sure if he was actually a gangbanger, but he’s got some gnarly fucking tattoos that I’d always meant to ask about. And now I can. There's no real point to this thread other than I support coffee cart businessmen and am thoroughly distraught at not having my usual high-fiving, free-wheeling coffee-and-possibly-donut-if-the-mood-strikes-me-i.e.-I'm-hungover-interaction. You’ll find I am also extremely cheap when it comes to coffee. I drink a lot of it and can certainly tell the difference between cheap coffee and good coffee shop coffee. But I hate coffee shops. I’m sure a rant exists somewhere about that, too.
  4. remindsmeofyou, I still get tiny whitehead pimples on occasion under new healed tattoos. Usually just on my arms, though, for whatever reason. Used to make me nuts but that's what yours sound like and if so, they'll go away. If they're sizable bumps and they hurt, get someone to take a look.
  5. I would also like to add that without the forum, it's unlikely I would've been tattooed by Scott and Mario this year!
  6. Nice job all around! I'm extremely grateful to be a part of the forum, and it still gives me a warm fuzzy feeling when everyone contributes -- and contributes well -- to threads, blogs, etc. without pretension or attitude. Everyone seems willing to discuss, educate and generally support one another. If there's a disagreement or eyebrow-raising comment, it never gets out of hand. And to answer Loch's question, I second Avery's "photos, photos, photos!" The interviews have been really good and I'm still a little floored at the talented tattooers on here willing to post and share. Lastly, I'd just like to say thanks again, as I'm usually pretty self-conscious that because I'm not a tattooer, I come across as a weird groupie or fanboy. LST doesn't make me feel like that and I'm grateful. HURRAY!
  7. Bunny, pictures? I got tattooed by Scott at Philly, too, and just having to deal with ONE in a somewhat awkward place while getting drunk at TGI Friday's was tough enough. Eight is some kind of superhero shit!
  8. Hey man! I've gotta catch up on the videos on here, I've been lazy lately. Feels like I'm not doing my homework. Got your email -- I'll write you back today! ...is the suspense killing you?

  9. On my slightly less hodge-podgey arm, I've got a three-eyed tiger head from the good Dave Wallin. My actual elbow is where the third eye is. Damn, sorry for the shitty photo.
  10. You swedes get some good work!
  11. CaptCanada, I hadn't noticed that you are in Japan. You seem to be alive and ok, I can't even imagine what last week was like and how it is right now. The photos and footage are terrifying.. Thoughts are with you. So if all you need to do is vent a little bit, vent away dude.
  12. Looks good! I've been wanting a couple of old school butterflies for a while. Mario, you are on a goddamn roll! I saw that anchor posted up somewhere, can't remember, probably fb.

    BEARDS!

Just shaved for first time in about two months. I am now an 8 year old boy.
  14. Aw man, I got an inch or two away from the knee pit and it felt like it was right in the middle! Tough. Interesting about the lymphs -- a lot of times the lymph nodes in my neck get just a little swollen and I feel like I'm getting sick, too. I've only noticed this recently, too.
  15. All good points. I'm recently back in an "office job" and am finding, like the first, it's not a real problem. I'm technically part of "creative" so we probably have more leeway and being in New York, most people don't wear suits and ties anyway. It's funny though, you do your work with long sleeves and people are pleased, then you roll up your sleeves and people find you have tattoos -- and if they know what they're doing, it won't affect their opinion of you and your work. Like you said, show them why you're invaluable. Nowhere near hands/neck yet.. gotta give that some time. But I'm glad my work and work ethic come through in the end. The never being icognito thing is interesting, too. I find when it warms up and I can shorts/short sleeves it, I'm always surprisingly self-conscious for the first week or two.
  16. I can't think of anything to appropriately express how I'm feeling right now..
  17. I think the only actress I could commit 82 tattoos to is Marion Cotillard. Still. Goddamn!
  18. What I (eventually) learned, is not to get married to an idea. The beauty is, these dudes and ladies have been doing exactly this for years. And years. Bring it in if that's exactly what you want, but see what your tattooer of choice comes up with. That's half the fun!
  19. Was there a rumor of coming to the states over the summer?
