  1. Any time! Sidenote, any more progress on finishing your side? You've been on a serious rampage in the last year dude.
  2. Yeah, you're not gonna win 'em all. I have an Oiwa head that my wife hates. Came home with it, super stoked on it and she said she hated it and it was gross.. which took the wind outta my sails pretty quick but I still love it and even though she'll still mention it every summer when the shorts come out, I've gotten enough other stuff around it to sort of temper that. Oh well, she still married me
  3. Also @cfgsteak, it's important to have quality time. Go out for a date night, do something together (that's not at a tattoo shop).. your hobbies/obsessions/professions can easily take over that. For me, it was a simple fix to just show her that no, I don't love tattoos more than you and no, I'm happy to spend time with you, too.
  4. I just didn't talk about it as much so when I went to get tattooed I'd just say, "Hey, next week I'm going to get tattooed, just a heads up," and that was that. A lot less, "I'm gonna do this, and this, and that, and maybe go here, etc." I was starting to annoy myself anyway. But get what you get man, don't cave. If your lady is going to take issue with your tattoos it's time for a serious conversation. Communication is pretty key. As long as you're not spending your rent money on tattoos (guilty) or forgoing groceries for tattoos (ok, also guilty) you should be able to talk about why it's bothering her. Who knows, maybe she's just waiting for you to say, "Hey, come with me and get something!"
  5. Funny dude, when I got a lady head tattoo my wife would always ask, "Who is she?!" as a joke but I think it actually kinda bothered her in a weird way. Doesn't any more, at least I don't think.. @cfgsteak I've been in a similar situation, not about the subject matter but just the frequency I used to get tattooed. After talking through it -- and this issue has come up with different ladies -- it always turned out they were sort of threatened by this nebulous "thing" I was into possibly more than them. Didn't ever stop me, but made me treat it differently and eventually it stopped being a problem. Now, my wife talks about getting tattooed more than I do.
  6. Hahaa ^^ THIS. It was a real pleasure to meet you man! Nicest guy in all of Oslo as far as I'm concerned. Also, that entire bar of chocolate is gone. Hopefully see you tomorrow/Thursday!
  7. Oh shit, missed this thread. Great to meet you dude! Give you a shout when we're back on Tuesday night.
  8. I met Ivar last night, he's a great dude! I'm outta town today and tomorrow and back on Wednesday. Pretty much working from then on, but my Friday and Saturday days are pretty open. Probably won't be checking this til Tuesday but if somethin works for you guys just do it and I'll try to make it. (Also, I've got Ivar's number in case he doesn't check here. And @Perez I think he's stoppin by Three Kings on Thursday.)
  9. Oh cool you did a search on the world wide web.
  10. It'd be fun to see a Baphomet from Dan Santoro over at Smith St. OR, SHIT, see if Ron is in town in NYC that week at Three Kings.. or Tamara or Dan Trocchio.. or anyone there! Or @Perez!
  11. Dan Marshall! If you can pin him down..
  12. Then go get tattooed and find out.
  13. @thebadnewshughes fun one! @Joel Ang nice! Can I ask about those little frog dudes? Hangin out, not givin a shit.
  14. But you still got suckered in @dcostello... didn't you.
  15. THAT SOUNDS FANTASTIC. Also, @jade1955 of course you're over at Frith St. getting tattooed! And @Tim Burke saw this on instagram earlier, that is a KILLER knee tiger!!
  16. autodude, consider yourself lucky to have actually gotten some good and even-keeled advice from everyone here so far. These are about the most tame responses I've seen related to a post like this. Take a day off, go get tattooed, step out of your comfort zone, try for another apprenticeship or ask all the questions you can while you're getting tattooed by someone who knows a little more than you or your boss and is willing to give you a hand. Good luck dude.
  17. @MadeIndelible yeah he does great butterflies, I'd like to get a few from him actually just kind of all over.. maybe they'll be up next!
  18. Thanks dude! My blog no longer serves a real purpose since I've kinda tossed the writing by the wayside but thanks for lookin. Enjoying your posts dude -- and your avatar -- be willing to bet we'd get along just fine!

  19. Well, I gotta get one first. I will certainly keep you posted. And d can certainly be nude.
  20. That was a nice little piece actually.
  21. Been a few times, worked a booth once, didn't have the best time. Of course, I didn't get tattooed, so if you're going with a reason, should be cool! Have fun man!
  22. @Perez, that was a great post. @dcostello, likewise. The dude abides.
